But alot of it can be avoided it by framing things a little differently. Distancing Sophie a little from the exact allegation, but inferring that 'someone who would do this' is. Now I know this end up looking a little like dancing around the subject, but it insulates you from both legal and social retaliation to an extent. The problem with having so much conviction, isn't that you are too bold...but the work you do here is for an audience. It shows a phenomenal amount of principle and integrity...buti f you make one error,even a tiny one down the road; depending on how the public latches onto the information... it can sully your entire reputation. Your die hard fans and people more acquainted with you are unlikely to hop ship and drap you. But those less familiar or unfamiliar can cut off your future growth by making you a figure to avoid. Take this however you please, I love your content and this video... I want to see you prosper long term and this comes from working in a large community for Mortal Kombat for years and seeing those that have come and went.
I appreciate your feedback, but I'm well aware that my delivery and approach is likely to turn off a lot of people. It's exactly those people who I don't want to watch my videos anyway - the sensitive and delicate types. They are the sort of people who will turn on you or leave the minute you say something out of line. This has happened to many creators. And it's not exactly uncommon for me to say things that are offensive or unpopular, so that audience would sour on me eventually regardless (and for what it's worth, I don't think I've committed some mortal sin or anything). I don't see it as a lost opportunity if I know that audience would drop me in the end anyway. Yes, there are risks to that involved.
