All remaining NABI's in ACT's fleet have Cummins ISM engines in them. The only NABI's that had the DD50 engines in them were the 2900's which have all been retired by 2009. The 2900's sounded great with the DD50, they were loud and had a nice ride unlike the Vanhools which replaced them. The only buses that ACT has that has a DD50 engine are 1997 New Flyers D60HF 1901-1930 & 2004 Gillig Phantoms 805-808 brought from Sam-trans last year.
Rest in peace to that bus operator that took part in this.

Also the Dumbarton Express Gillig Phantoms 160-165 that ACT operates on the DB Lines have the DD50 engines.
has AC Transit's NABIs been overhauled to Cummins engines or do they have the Detroit Diesel Series 50?
THey should give Epic Beard Man a job there.
I haven't seen any new "Best of the Best" stickers on the buses lately. Does AC still participate in the rodeos?
