I need a better quality than this, Floor and Russell - instant win. Both are among the best singers out there with incredibly powerful and versatile voices.
i wrote andrew lloyd webber as the original composer (as you can see) and nightwish also because i know they used the nightwish version for the orchestration.
Floor is my fav singer, hands down, her voice has more dimensionality and flexibility than all the other Metal Queens. But my favorite version of "Phantom of the Opera" is Dreams of Sanity feat. Tilo Wolff (Lacrimosa.)

The fact that she didnt hit the high note at the end doesn't mean that she CAN'T hit... I'm pretty sure she's completly capable of hitting the E6, she just tried a different way that didnt work...

Floor is one of the bests voices in the metal scence, maybe the best after Tarja, and see Floor singing old Nightwish songs and new ones (because he has shown us lots of times that she can sing whatever she wants) would be something that i just can´t explain, just what Nightwish needs. cause what they really need is a singer to sing all (what Floor clearly is). an exelent interpretaion from Floor in this song, of course

Aprilrain89---do not wait for Tuomas to come up and spell it for you....when that will happen they will already have a replacement for Anette....you have to analyze body language, facial expressions, tone of voice and other subtle stuff like that....add to that the experience of meeting Nightwish in person-----add to that the fact that they didn't play anything off their FIRST THREE ALBUMS on their last American tour...watch Annete talking about her solo album....etc etc....

This isn't a cover from nightwish version! this is the original partiture (partitura), Nightwish do the electric guitars but the Christine line voice is the same at the partiture.

I wish they would have covered this more in the style of the original and as for the high note at the end it sounds amazing and atleast floor uses a decent technique that she doesnt need to pause before the high note like tarja does. I like both, but floor rises above tarja.
I do not want use so strong words than you. but I think so too, nothing against tarja but her solo stuff is not my cup of tea even she´s live performances is not so good anymore what I have seen. have but Now when NW has Floor OMG her lower register is so dramatic, I think her high register is very good too. She can do kind of ruff rock sound out of her mouth, absolutely incredible. She is now a days and also thinking of them future the best choice that´s my opinion. sry my bad engklish
Tarja hits the notes at the end perfectly, maybe in you're opinion this version is better, but you can't say Tarja's version is flawed she is a much better vocalist then Floor.

The guy playing guitar/bass whatever is cute. The song is also fabulous. Almost sounds like the Nightwish version.
