I couldn't tell this is a Disciples game at all. I still think people should try Disciples 2 if they can, it's a very good classic that has its own unique charm than this generic copy of turn base strategy of the game.
Holy crap, I had no idea that they made a new Disciples game after such a long time! I used to play the hell out of Disciples II as a kid and I thought the 3rd one was the end of the series! So glad it's back!
This is such a far cry from the original Disciples and Disciples II. Why they keep releasing these HoMM clones when Disciples 1 and 2 has unique gameplay mechanics of its own?
The only way i could beat the first mission in disciples 3 was using a unit that's immune to physical damage. Loved disciples before they switched over to heroes combat in 3.
Thank you for the video! Hmmm... Just do not know what to say. This may be good RPG in the Disciples world, but it is not he continuation of the franchise of the turn based strategy series. I am confused why they named this game so.
picked this up, but decided to wait a couple weeks before jumping in cause I read in the forums it has a few technical issues, but most seemed to be ironed out now. Will probably jump in after the next patch.
I am currently level 46 and I can tell you that the game suck. It has everything, units, items, spells, but all of this locked behind senseless reputation system, progression walls and everything that you can think of, that dev's use to prolong a game. This make the game repetitive and boring the first 50-60 hours with countless battles that you are forced to fight with the same units and spells. Progression is so slow, that it becomes a chore to play it. What a disappointment, taking in mind that the game is there, but everything is locked for you. It could be a great game, but sadly it is not.
They're assuming way to many things I think. I mean, in a few minutes, the main character goes from someone that had a life of mercenary and was contracted to feeling and acting like a leader of a Nation, even recognized as so by a man in a prison cell, sending you to another leader, when you should have no legitimacy and never feel this much engaged when you were just teleported to an empty lands (somewhat also able to recruit people from any factions even if you never did anything for it and that the city is empty). All of this is way to janky to me. Also , you start with so much equipment and resources. Feels too much like a mobile game holding your hands to further sell you in game in-contents. I don't like this approach at all.
Its sad to see how low Disciples has fallen and how it is used as a cash grab title slapped on HOMM clones (or in this case a Kings Bounty clone) :( Disciples had such a good looking and atmospheric style, not to mention the story and gameplay. Even Disciples 3, while being different and more similar to HOMM gameplay wise was at least true to D1 and 2's artstyle, lore and amazing atmosphere. This is just sad:(( This might be a great game on its own but calling it Disciples ruins everything:/
I agree, either have a game with mechanics like these, but with the D2 atmosphere, style and units, or make a game with Disciples 2 mechanics but it's own style as a sequel, but don't do both of those things differently, because then there is nothing of the brand left but the title. Looking at the combat system I can't help but imagine things like D2 Berzerkers being able to do an area of effect swipe with their axes around themselves (there's so many units in the old games with potential for interesting and unique moves in this game's combat system), hearing the characters' voice lines I can't help but wish that the Duke was there with his roars and latin quips, hearing the music I miss the old dark fantasy tunes, and so on, it's just such a shame there's none of that old Disciples identity in this...
I have to admit, I'm really not a fan of the add-speak intros you do on a lot of your recent videos. Every time it makes me think: “Ok, this game sounds really generic and uninteresting, I probably wont play this.” Then I watch the rest of the video and often go: “Oh, but this does look very interesting, maybe I'm going to check this out!”
Thanks for the feedback! Hmm I always think that since it's sponsored I get the message out first then go messing around. To check in this instance, what did you like from the gameplay that wasn't shown off in the promo portion?
@@GamerZakh It's less about what is and isn't shown, but the way it is. The promo bit sounds like caned speech, written by a publishers marketing department, dropping all the bullet points as a matter of fact without much of your usual endearing emotion behind it. Don't get me wrong, I kinda get why: You need to get the points across in a short time, but the thing is, that makes it sound like a emotionless TV commercial, and maybe it's just me, but I'm really jaded by that kind of corporate speak. (And please, don't get me wrong, I don't want to imply that you are a corporate spokesperson, your content in general show's that you are far from that and I respect you for that. Compare the short promo bit to the rest of your videos, where you get a lot more emotion across, fun, excitement, thoughtfulness and so on, which sounds a lot more sincere (and thus believable). And of course, there is the fact that the rest of the video shows the game as a game, rather than just a fast moving collection of bullet points (which, again I get, costs time).
@@greywolf6443 Hey that's super helpful, thank you! Those promo portions aren't even requested by any of the sponsors, I just do it because I think it's a fair thing to do but based on what you've said I can definitely make them much better. I have an idea on how to do it, rather than present the points, I cut parts from the gameplay and use those to demonstrate the points as a montage. I think that would be able to show off the points while also keeping things more natural.

Man, this looks like Raid Shadow Legends 2.
Disciples 2 art style was so awesome.
I couldn't tell this is a Disciples game at all. I still think people should try Disciples 2 if they can, it's a very good classic that has its own unique charm than this generic copy of turn base strategy of the game.
Disciples 2 was soooo good.
I prefer Disciples II

you are right. loved the first 2 disciples... now they are getting worst...
It is rather a clone of King's Bounty this time
Not sure how this is a Disciples game really. It's not bad, but it does nothing for me to scratch that D1 or D2 itch.
The only way i could beat the first mission in disciples 3 was using a unit that's immune to physical damage. Loved disciples before they switched over to heroes combat in 3.

I only played it this week for the first time and haven't run into any issues so far. It was after their hotfix, so maybe that got most things.

thanks for info, I wouldn't mind a new proper game in the franchise, but this smells of mobile game bullshit from a mile

Every twoteny seconds, I'm like : Where is that coming from, why ?

This looks like nothing close to D1 and D2, maybe slightly closer to D3
This is not what i look for while picking up a Disciples game :(
This is a Disciples game?!
I'll stick with Sacred Lands and Dark Prophecy.

With your voice you could be great cartoon voice actor. Or doc film narrator
Thanks! I try my best over time to sound better.
Sad, sad for Disciples fans, they ruined it second time.
Mountain Clan (Dwarfs) already extinct?
yeah, a big shame, they added nice flavor to the world and atmosphere, but I dread to think what they would be like in the D3 and Liberation art style
Why do both enemies get to go, while only one of your guys get to go?
Which battle and time are you referring to? Scanning through looking at the move order at the top it seems to mainly take turns.
@@GamerZakh The very first one; I'm not sure if it happened with the rest, I was listening more than watching, the first battle I saw completely.
@@3dmaster205 Hmm looking at it, both my units can move during each turn. I'm not sure what you mean by only one of them getting to go.
