Very cool to see American Jim Gibson racing the GP's in the 125 class. I was always hoping to see a top American rider like Barnett, O'Mara, or Ward over there. Gibson did a good job....i think he finished 2nd or 3rd overall in the championdhip at the end of the year...

I currently own a '83 rm125 and watching this gives me chills. These guys ride these things to the max, literally! The only time they don't go full throttle is right before the race!

@@donbrashsux Rotary valve 125 1983 OW Factory 125 Yamaha. Power valves just came out. Google this bike.
Motor was a rocket.
Lechine had it in the US
Number 224 Factory Yamaha
Look it up. Trick bikes !

Works bikes😍❤️❤️ they all sound so good! Perfectly jetted….fresh engines….nothing sounds as good as a pro riding a fresh 125 two stroke, nothing.
Those Gilera works bikes were badass too. Just gorgeous!

@@moneyontrees6Lechein bike was what I dreamt about every night when I was 15! That Yamaha OW works bike, OMG. With that aluminum tank…just all the factory parts on that bike. I loved my 83’ YZ 125’s. ❤️❤️❤️😊
