Just looked up John Franklin up (ISAAC); apparently he was both "Running Chucky" in CHILDS PLAY and Cousin Itt in THE ADDAMS FAMILY movies, then quit acting and became a High School teacher from 2001-2016, and apparently, he's getting into acting.
John Franklin, the guy who played Isaac, actually did get...well...a LITTLE more work...He was Cousin It in the 90s Addams Family movies, Reprised his role as Isaac in Children of the Corn 666, and he formerly worked as a school teacher, only to recently leave that to return to acting and is still currently doing projects, he's only 62...Put this in comparison...Tobin Bell, the man who was famous for playing the Jigsaw Killer, is 78 and he's still doing stuff...I mean, other than the Saw franchise, he's got 6 more unrelated films he's gonna work on that are TBA
Stand by Me is another really good Stephen King movie. It is directed by Rob Reiner and stars Will Wheaten, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and one other I unfortunately can’t remember.
Have you guys watched the Syfy version of children of the corn? I watched it last year and it's not too bad in some parts. The guy is a retired Marine instead, there's no Isaac though, but the ending is interesting.
In my opinion I think the best way to corn scary is have things lurk in the field I’d would say reanimated scarecrows that are made by Isaac’s killed victims using these scarecrows as guardians of their cult and killing any trespassers that come to the cult’s territory
I I might make a suggestion for another reviewer that I think has similar content to the Nostalgia Critic of the same high quality and deserves a lot more subs and fans than he has, I would recommend "The Unusual Suspect." He makes both short form videos, usually trailers recut to look and feel like a trailer from a different genre of movie, but the videos I usually watch are his review series. He has done reviews for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the Home Alone theatrical movies, and most of the Star Wars prequels (with Revenge of the Sith hopefully on the way.) The thing is, he usually mostly reviews films that he enjoys (with some exceptions) and I think that he is very funny and talented when it comes to making jokes about the films. I hope you can watch some of his reviews and judge for yourselves sometime soon. Have a good day Renegades!
