I really enjoyed the soft focus video of the behind the scenes footage of you undoing the work you did for the previous question, "I've built and now have to break this massive nether portal for 10 seconds of video, you are going to appreciate my effort!"
You should be able to infinitely trade with a Wandering Trader by launching them into unloaded chunks, but opening their GUI first. Once unloaded, you can still go through with the trade, but it doesn't update on the trader's end, so once he's loaded again you can repeat.

Fun fact: the damage vexes take after existing for a while is actually starvation damage, just like the damage the player takes when their hunger bar is at zero.
My mind is just blown at just how much you can do in this game. When I first saw my girlfriend's son play it years ago I never thought you could do this much. It's nuts. Few years playing the game myself and I'm still learning stuff
HAPPY 101ST!!!! I found season 1 shortly after it ended and was using it to help me with my own world, and when I realized you were making another season, I was thrilled! So happy to have been here for 101 episodes and for many more!
The best way to avoid getting lost in tunnels, mines, and caves: 1. Use signs to indicate what is down a tunnel or the way to the exit. 2. At cave intersections, instead of signs you can simply place a torch on the floor of the tunnel that leads out. 3. In caverns, mark the way out with two torches or place one on top of a block that doesn't match the surrounding blocks.
9:18 if you get an oak slab in the early versions where they were basically retextured stone slabs and then bring the world to after 1.13 it will become a petrified slab.

56 - Alternatively to farming both moss and cobblestone in the way you mentioned you can also look for a old growth taiga, which features a lot of mossy cobblestone in commonly generating rock formations on the surface.
24:22 That either must have taken years or you just persisted at it with another weapon until it was low enough 😂 But props to anyone who can actually endure that, especially in the overworld.
I did most of the damage with a sword. This was relatively close to spawn, and the tunnel led to an aquifer, so I figured I'd just finish it off with a potato. Even then, it's hard to deal punching damage fast enough to beat the Wither's natural health regen.
@@Pixlriffs it reminds me of the videos where people kill the moon lord in terraria with a wooden short sword. (The objectively worst weapon in that game) Punching boats to death in bedrock (they have 20hp for some reason) takes forever, I can't imagine trying to kill a wither by only dealing potato damage.
5. You *can* do some void trading things with the wandering trader to make them not lock and slow the despawn timer, I think? I don’t know the details but there’s more you can do than a giant spawning pad. 55. Could you get a raid witch to heal the Johnny? 63. Are you sure that’s right? I think all the chunks in range of a player will generate random ticks in all their subchunks, not just the close ones. Obviously for loaded chunks not in range of a player that still doesn’t apply. 85. I’ve heard that explanation before but it isn’t quite right. First it picks an XZ coordinate. Then it picks a random Y coordinate between the bottom of the world and the top of the highest block in that column; this step is not “from the bottom to the top”. It also does the same amount of attempts each tick regardless of height; if it were searching the way you say, that would affect lag but not spawns per tick. The reason shorter mob farms are faster (instead of just less work for the same result) is that there are unused potential spawning heights. Even if you break bedrock the game will try to spawn mobs at -64, which is never valid.
@2:12 note however if you are planning on building a massive auto smelter or something with a lot of components that can contribute to lag putting them in the spawn chunks or any place where they are permanently loaded will be a bad time.
Single player worlds: build all the farms in the spawn chunks! Multiplayer worlds: please do not build any farms in the spawn chunks (or other things with relatively high amounts of lag, like villager trading halls and excessive amounts of item frames)

an unual block combo that looks fantastic is acacia wood (outside of log, not inside) and prismarine. also, if you're wondering what to enchant your armour with, think about what you die from the most. is it mobs? protection. boss fights? protection or blast protection. nether related stuff? fire protection. i personally use fire protection because I'm clumsy and lava is my weakness lol. having full fire protection V armour allows you to walk through fire and the second you leave the fire the fire effect goes away. its very useful
Thanks to your video on mining with moss, I am now clearing out an island faster and recycling it into bone meal, rather than just digging the dirt and stone and not having a place to put the excess blocks. .....now if only I can find a way to stop snow from falling on it so it can turn to moss. (Snowy biome and rains every other day.)

With the firework rockets, it takes up less space in your inventory to have the 3s rockets. Making it marginally more efficient, in terms of the number of clicks/keystrokes you do. In terms of flight times, you're also clicking fewer times to get the same distance, if all other factors are equal. (keep in mind the advantages aren't really there if you're only ever travelling very short distances)
Thanks for answering my question about a worlds first farms(59.) Whenever I make a new world I always make a cow farm and a wheat farm and then get mad when I have to get enough paper for an enchanting table. Thanks so much!
Ianxofour has just uploaded a video showing a great way to completely drain the wandering trader for items. Until it despawns of course. Just bring all the emeralds you can carry.
And another thing for iron farms not working is you might have to update the status effect the zombie has on the villagers by placing a block in front of the zombie or villager with a sticky piston and then removing it again, creating a "new" line of sight

On number 14. You CAN actually get around the Too Expensive! All you need to do is to disenchant the item, and renchant it! I did this with my netherite boots when 1.18 came out, because it was too expensive originally to put soul speed 3 on my boots. I suggest doing this in creative FIRST to get the proper order and to see if I'm not actually insane
Disenchanting resets it because (I'm speculating) the main point is that enchantments are the valuable part, especially in the old days when the feature was added. (The too expensive just means it costs over 40levels and i think thats a silly mechanic, just let me pay the 253lv cost to do the action or decide if that it is too expensive for myself)
IIRC, n' if you want to get technical, in a few versions of 1.16 the world build limit was increased to ~1024. in both positive and negative values. though, this required you to set this up in the world file, or with a datapack. and, I am not sure it stayed that way.
Bedrock player. Question 78. If a creeper is in water you don't take damage from the explosion. You will take fall damage if you are face to face with him. Ran several trial runs, (again in Bedrock edition).

Crops don't grow if the player is not near them in a cylindrical perimeter of r=128 blocks, even if they are in spawnchunks or are charged by simulation distance>8 chunks. Only crops inside that cylindrical perimeter centered in the player can grow, the same as mob spawning

Protection IV only stacks numerically to a certain level which is roughly used up with 3 pieces of armor. I prefer to add fire or projectile protection to my chest piece so that I have have max Protection when wearing elytra. Wearing 4 pieces of armor with Protection IV is pointless and a waste. 63. That is actually wrong. The random tick range in Java is only horizontal, and is not affected by the player's vertical location. Try flying up 200 blocks, turn up random tick speed and seeif crops grow. In their case, crops were not growing probably because they were too far away horizontally while underground.
Minor correction on the mob spawning explanation: The game doesn't really "search" from top to bottom, but randomly picks a height every time it attempts to spawn a pack of mobs. Turns out if there are fewer values to choose from, picking one that actually works is way more likely. :)
People often say "Build it in the spawn chunks" but how big is the spawn chunks area (1 chunk? 9 chunks? 25? more?) I guess I could ask google but that would be too easy. :))

First Question, and I have a follow up one. Are mobs protected when they are near a lighting rod? I think, I have converted Mooshroms by placing a rod in their pen. What really interests me, if the villagers in an iron farm are protected, if I place a rod on top of it or do I have to place it higher above them?
About the sharpness vs. smite debate… aren’t most of the enderman you’ve killed at nearly 0hp anyways? The sharpness isn’t really helping because they would die just the same to a smite v sword? I have usually used sharpeness… but im beginning to think it’s just a terrible enchant overall. It hardly improves your ability to kill mobs faster except for bosses like the ender dragon and the guardians.
Note that the Minecraft wiki insta mining page isn't very accurate and isn't really good at differentiating between java and bedrock, for example cobblestone can be insta mined in bedrock edition
I think the loyalty trident comes back after throwing it into the void, because in bedrock edition the void has invisible bedrock at y -140, which causes the trident to come back.

I tend to stock duration 1 rockets around the greater home base and reserve duration 3 for long-range mapping and end raids.

Just put smite on your axe and have the best of both worlds.
Smite on the axe to oneshot undead mobs and sharpness on the sword for everything else.

First Question, and I have a follow up one. Are mobs protected when they are near a lighting rod? I think, I have converted Mooshroms by placing a rod in their pen. What really interests me, if the villagers in an iron farm are protected, if I place a rod on top of it or do I have to place it higher above them?
A lightning rod affects mobs, items, blocks and entities within a 9×7×9 cube centred on the rod. Any further and they remain unaffected.

If you are wearing mending armor that has full durability it can still randomly apply experience to that piece and you willl get levels instead

About the sharpness vs. smite debate… aren’t most of the enderman you’ve killed at nearly 0hp anyways? The sharpness isn’t really helping because they would die just the same to a smite v sword? I have usually used sharpeness… but im beginning to think it’s just a terrible enchant overall. It hardly improves your ability to kill mobs faster except for bosses like the ender dragon and the guardians.

Note that the Minecraft wiki insta mining page isn't very accurate and isn't really good at differentiating between java and bedrock, for example cobblestone can be insta mined in bedrock edition

Emerald ore is a common block because you can find them easier on mountains
I think the loyalty trident comes back after throwing it into the void, because in bedrock edition the void has invisible bedrock at y -140, which causes the trident to come back.
he said in the video he believed it does on bedrock and that it takes around 15 sec... but not on java

hey man. thanks for answering my question. I do use the same mods that Logic does with great success. hopefully going to start my own let's play this month. sadly the mods are only stable in version 1.17.1
