ExGym was it a Motorola e6 play? If so I've been over this a million times it's totally wiped the fone but it's asking for my previous password. I'm fucked as my 8 nearly 9 year old was fuking about and changed my password now I've not long had it so there wasn't a lot on it so I followed a good few videos and this one seemed too be a oh this will defo work....still asked for my previous password. If I knew that I wouldn't be wiping away everything off the phone
I've followed about a zillion videos and once everything is wiped and it still asks for your "previous password". That's the point in doing this because my 8year old changed my password and I've not a clue what it is ☹️
The pin will persist since the phone has a frp lock. Where the lock saves the previous pin set even through a factory reset.

@@kelt7241 Its a security feature, factory reset pin meaning its there to prevent a factory reset from wiping the device entirely, so without a pin or some special knowledge to work around it its not really something to fix. Unless you have the phone connected to your google account there's no real way to remove or reset the pin. There are ofc work arounds. But that would assume your phone can talk with tools, like adb, that allow someone to modify it. Like having usb debugging enabled on the phone. You could replace the motherboard as well. Among other more complicated ways.
Bret Horne so I'm basically fu**ed? I bought the fone factory reset it my son put a password on it and can't remember it would a shop be able to fix it? I've been in touch with the original owner she's got the receipt for it just too prove it's not stolen but she can't remember what she done yesterday let alone what her old password was if she knew that i would not have to go threw all this 😩😰😰
