I feel like there's a few things for me personally. I hate the buttons for shifting, I'd love to change that. I also don't care much for the button instead of a door handle in the car. Change those two things and I would totally agree. That being said, I would 100% buy this thing.
Probably not one thing I would change but a few things, just my preferences, as follows: 1) option to add some additional exterior carbon fibre on the upper side mirrors, with an option for a carbon fibre roof and rear spoiler (yes, expensive but would cut weight and look amazing) 2) Black Out Pack. full satin or gloss black out option for the side and front Maserati tridents, retaining the red outlining in the background. 3) Wheels: full satin or gloss black out option for the wheels with option for colour matching of the wheel centre to brake caliper. 4) More wheel options as the option list is limited here. Black, silver and maybe a bronze and grey or charcoal colour with different designs 5) Exhaust pipe finishers: options here. e.g. my choice would be quad pipe finishers in polished smoke charcoal and engraved with the trident or the M using the Maserati font. 6) A few more colour options: e.g. a dark carbon / blue grey or green grey, a deeper coloured blue, and a matt finish option. I would leave most of the interior as is, as it is pretty well executed. A couple of knobs would have been great for the volume and air con.

This video is so detailed that I don't even know if it's you or the engine manufacturers behind it that I should be congratulating!!!!!??????? but I say bravo and once more thank you for this video!!!!!!!!!! And i saiy and I say "hats off" to Maserati! I'm really enjoying the vocals of this powerplant at all engine revs. Compared to the Mc20, the sound emitted by the engine here in the Grecale has really been reworked. It's three times, a thousand times better here. at low to mid revs, I feel like bouncing between the purr of a ford V6 powerstroke and the growl of two 3-cylinder 1.3l puretechs in the peugeot 5008.
Alfa Romeo’s have the same gearbox tuning too, I can’t tell if I hate it or like it. It’s so aggressive to the point of I can’t tell if it’s a good thing or not 😭
Idk why but I’d find those gear selector buttons really quick to use. To get it into reverse you don’t have to try and click it between p and n like a normal shifter
Finally a good interior from Maserati, that's where masieati always loses is the interior and the technology compared to German cars, but they did their due diligence in terms of tech in this car it looks nice. Another thing is the price, 120k! That's a lot of money for a small crossover, whether it has 523HP or not that's a pretty steep asking price.
It's kinda odd, the front fascia and rear designs have a nice "flow", but from the side view the Maserati Grecale has a very stubby appearance. On a much longer chassis the Grecale proportions would have room to stretch giving the overall design better eye-appeal - in my opinion. Love the engine bark, gets the old blood to flowing! Very nice interior and packaging. I sure would like to see Maserati gain some traction with the new Grecale, the sticker price has to cover the cost of all those tridents decorating the exterior, (some people like that).
As an owner of 2 months, as much as it’s a great design in and out, but it’s full of defects and quirks. I love the way dealers turn of the key beeping for reviews so that it hides the constant beeping and big issues the car has with the keyless entry system. Mine has been in the service center for 46 days so far for various issues. There are going to be loads of software updates needed so you will need to spend lots of time at the service center. It’s a great car to have fun with around town but it’s awful for cruising around town. Just touch the gas pedal and it jerks away and the breaks are very grabby and inconsistent when driving normally. The issue more Maserati is that the Macan beats it in every dept except for design and considering the Grecale is the most expensive member of its class, it’s not going to take many sales away from the Macan. They will be in real trouble when Porsche refresh the Macan as they have just done with the Cayenne.
This. GV70’s steering and gearbox are not on the same level. I do like its exterior better, and the interior is classy for the money, but if price wasn’t a factor, I’d still have the Grecale
Personally, I love the car... but I feel the Stelvio which it is based upon (even the engine cover looks the same..) has more soul. Would take the Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV with a lower price tag, virtually the same performance, and it isn't quite as gaudy.
Macan is totally overrated. The interior, exterior and driving dynamics are all mediocre. Just watch the Macan moose test. It is very disappointing. No wonder it has very bad track times. I think the Gracale if it drives nearly as well as the Stelvio is by far the best compact SUV package.
