Regardless of what title you end up getting if you do strive for one, we will still love your content. Few that are so good at the game are so genuinely watchable imo
Dude, if you ever come to Switzerland (like to Biel Chess Festival), let me know. I will give you a copy of Zürich 1953 by Max Euwe. I have to copies and can give you one, for free of course. It is in German. It is interesting to compare the comments of the games from different authors. By the way, I purchased some years ago one if Alekhine’ books, signed by the author, a special edition, a very rare book. I sold it to a collector from Canada who collects everything related to Alekhine. It was by far the most interesting book from my collection.
I have observed many reviews of chess books but I was impressed by your joy and satisfaction in exposing your acquisitions congratulations a big hug and nothing to read and enjoy chess
Ur enthusiasm is contagious!! Those newspaper clippings are amaaazing!! U should Go back & get more of those books. U absolutely hv 2 do a vlog on the most important Chess locations around the world. Start with Ur hometown. All the best with Ur Chess journey!!
Hey Zach!! Just watched this video...it was so nice & beautifully edited👍 Can you please make a video on how to go through these books and game collections. Lots of love❤️ and power to u💪
Great video. I love your enthusiasm for chess books. One caution about value. "For sale" prices can be unreasonable. The best reference is eBay "sold" listings. Since you're probably not going to sell these books, it probably doesn't matter though.
I love your passion. I have a chess book collection myself if you want to compare book collections. I even have a formerly 1000$ book that was reprinted of Anand's games. I am a big fan of Karpov and have some rarer ones of his, including the one you have. I also have Kasparov's The test of time and some rarer Dvoretsky ones, too.
Shoutout to the Philippines!! I’ve been told that you have a similar stereotype to us Canadians in that you are very kind people (I was once on customer service with a Filipino and he proudly told me about Jollibee, he was so kind!!) Shoutout to you in the Philippines 🇵🇭 Who knows maybe I venture to Manila for some chess one day ❤️
well i am 5 months late, great video btw. MY guesses anyway are Capablanca's 100 best games of chess, The world champions teach chess and Dynamic chess strategy. You have probably read quite a few of those book so far. Great Video :)
Some classic books in your selection. But you should be aware, for your future collecting, that books without the flyleaf are worth only a fraction of what books with the flyleaf will fetch. Of course, with the flyleaf books are far more attractive too.
Just think - one day in the year 2150 a college kid just like you will be raving about their new autobiographies by historical chess players Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura My guesses for the 3 books you've started reading: Curacao 1962, World Champions Teach Chess, Good Move Guide
What a deep thought! We will all be pleased when a Magnus, Hikaru or Caruana writes their own book that will run over every “move by move” made about them by another author. Can’t wait!! As for your guess, I will reply with ❌ and no further words since other people can guess off what I say! Nice try (it shows you watched the video)!!
It was a very great video, congratulations, but, I would like to know, why spend so much on book when we have so many web sites and apps? Will you really read all of them?
Imagine your move played. Then imagine the best response. Then your move. Then his. Then yours and so on. Think again with others variations. The difference is how many variations calculate
I wish 😭 I didn’t spend $2000 I spent 1:00:28 $644 USD - as they were all used and I got them all for a very very good deal. ❤️ Still $830 in my currency out of my pocket in a weekend 💀 i promise my bank account said 🤬🤬🤬
Me - how can someone watch these make-up haul videos, how boring. Also me - Omg, he’s got a bunch of chess books… what’s next? Show them faster!! What’s next?????
That’s awesome those books ended up in someone’s hands that will appreciate them.
You are the most dedicated chess player and youtuber I have ever seen.
Thumbs up.
That is a rare compliment and a very meaningful one. Thank you ❤️

Wow!! Great idea but perhaps tough in execution - I will think about it!
Awesome
Wow! Some of those real relics. I bet they will be worth lots of money at some point. I was looking at one on Amazon priced at over $900. Nice haul!
So awesome you got these. Impressive …enjoy
Thank you so much!! ❤️🔥
1:00:01 The Ivanchuk book by Kalinichenko, one of the Zürich 1953 books, by Bronstein if I have to pick one, and the Curaçao 1961 book by Timman.

Really interesting man. Nice to hear you talk enthousiasticly about all the books.
I thought it was cool you don't discriminate the old descriptive notation. Congrats on the rare Larsen book.
Hi, great video. I think your first books will be: Attacking Manual, Three Steps To Chess Mastery and The World Champions Teach Chess.
Close guess! but no ❤️
Great video! Nice to see a chess enthusiast enthusiastic.
Why aren’t all game books written like that fisher vs Spassky book. I am going to get that if I can find it.

Actually, almost all of these are uploaded on the internet for free. It's nice to discover them though, and I will read many of them.
