Thank you for this video. I did wonder how to grow nutmeg and I’m glad you advised not to buy the seeds from the supermarket as they won’t grow. I did wonder if you did have a dried seed and then put it in water for a while, could it be able to be grow as it would have rehydrated

Hello Hans. I enjoyed your video and information. I lease a little farm on the island of Mindanao, Tangub City, Misamis province, the Philippines. I have ten coconuts, more or less, a few cacao, avocado, mango, durian and many bananas. I would like to plant nutmeg as an inter crop between the coconuts. Any suggestions would be helpful, ie, what bees pollinate your fruits.

Is it normal for relatively inexpensive ($2.50 for 1.5 oz) supermarket-brand ground nutmeg to have an awful chemical odor and similar taste, something like the odor of a lubricant they would use for the machine that grind the nutmeg, or the odor of the metal of the machine?
Whole nutmegs that I grate myself doesn't have that taste or odor, but it's suddenly hard to find in my supermarket.
