Other songs likely to make you burst into tears are Answer: Love Yourself and Magic Shop, especially the live versions for both. I will you say one other thing. Many of us came to BTS during our lowest times. The kind of times when all we could manage was our own version of a sloth hoodie. I personally credit BTS with saving my life. We have a saying that we don't find BTS, they find us when we need them most.

This is the most relatable and hilarious thing I’ve ever seen. As a woman in her mid 40s whose previous favorite band was Tool falling down the BTS rabbit hole also had me panicked for a while. We get it. Trust me we get it. The fact their personalities shine as bright as their handsome looks makes it even better.

Mid forties ARMY here too! Hey!! I can't wait for Alex to see their draw dropping range of individual talents as men outside just the music videos. The advice and things I've learned from Suga and RM I use almost everyday to get me through, especially in their solo albums, mixtapes and vlives. The self-care, love and acceptance of myself I've learned again from Jin and Jimin, J-Hope's laughter and professionalism, V's chameleon beauty, grace and charm, JK's fierce love and bravery in showing his emotions, and on and on. I quote them all the time, I watch study ASMR videos of them to help me with my focus and work ethic (since theirs is BEAST MODE, right). I found BTS and ARMY during Trump, BLM and COVID. They saved me, Thank God!
A vocal coach once said that when Jimin sings it almost sounds like there are two voices coming from him because of his unique vocal resonance. I think that was a perfect descriptor for why he often sounds almost ethereal. :)

Welcome 😁 it's got a name because it's so common - they're all beautiful men, they're all incredibly good at what they do, but he has a very specific charisma that captivates. Black Swan is my favorite BTS song. Ish. I love whichever one I'm listening to, but I come back to Black Swan. When you dig into the meaning, it just... It's heartbreaking. It's grief and fear and desperate hope. And then they dressed it like that. Jungkook in a corset about killed me - he reminds me of my son normally 😂 There's an orchestral version. There's an art film. They did a dance to the orchestral version for MMA 2020 on a flooded stage. And there's a shooting sketch for the video as well as a behind-the-scenes focus on Jimin filming that dance solo. It's all worth seeing, but do yourself a favor and watch that last one. You see how much work went into it, and he's an incredibly beautiful dancer to watch.
Don’t worry, all of ARMY went feral for Black Swan. For a bit of context this MV dropped out of nowhere. They had given us a full timeline when everything would premiere so we could do our magic (aka stream like crazy). Then, after ON had dropped and we thought we were in the clear, THIS masterpiece drops. We had the song for about a month now, because Black Swan was the first song released from this album (Map of the Soul: 7), so nobody expected an MV a month later. Then they do that scene in the stairs all looking like models/paintings/sculptures just gods really and we lost it. You should check it live, especially the version without shoes. Also, I’m a 42yr old lawyer and I’m not afraid to say I’m OT7 ARMY and Suga (Yoongi) makes me go feral. I too, like many ARMYs will tell you, credit BTS for helping me through a tough time. Helped me through my worst anxiety and depression.

Jimin is indeed an angel, looks, voice, and personality. The vocal line is incredible, they harmonize and work so well together. The rap line is equally impressive, honestly, I'm so in love with the rap line its not even funny. Yes, they are all gorgeous, they are all talented, they are all hard-working, humble, smart people. RM and J-Hope's recent solo albums are freaking amazing. BTS is the one group where I love 99% of everything they have done. The rap, the vocals, the ballads, the R&B, the hiphop, the pop, the jazz, everything is just so good. I hope you explore more of their work. There's nothing wrong with falling for their looks, dancing, singing, rapping, and personalities. But their lyrics are a large part of what has made me stick around and are worth getting in to, although I know it takes more effort. 💜

I’ve actually never been a fan of any boy band although I’ve had decades of opportunity beginning with the Beatles. All it took was one mv, and I was instantly captivated by BTS. Suga’s mesmerizing stage presence, savage beats & brutally honest lyrics were irresistible.
BTS are life! No like actually saved my life lol. But seriously are so ridiculous good and just good humans and work insanely hard and wrote such good music. It’s literally impossible to esplain how good there except to keep showing someone more and more videos! I'm a 54 year old Army, and my adult kids think that BTS is "just a K-pop boy band that does pop music only. I told them that BTS themselves say that their music resides outside of being labeled as a K-pop/ hip-hop band because their music is written and performed in ALL the genres. Actually, I would describe them as being in a class all by themselves, both literally and figuratively. They are the trailblazers who are creating music that blends genres, thus expanding and making innovative music. They are trend setters. They started putting out reactions to their own music videos. Now, it is standard for any idol group to do this. At the beginning of their career, they were not featured on variety shows because they came from a small and relatively unknown company. They created their own variety show in order for their fans to get to know them better. Their show has become legendary in its popularity. Now, it is common practice for idol groups to do this. BTS began to submit their work to the American Grammy Awards. Now, other idol groups are doing this. All of the above reasons are why BTS are revered by both their fans and their own peers, and I would say, from netizens around the world. It is their ever-present kindness, insane musical giftedness, and their unfailing humility that has endeared them to my heart forever. Borahe!!! 💜 💜💜💜

Ahhh, I love you and your whole vibe…. had to sub! Black swan is really beautiful. Before BTS, Jimin trained in contemporary dance-that was him doing all the solo dance shots and silhouettes. But really, in order to see the full artistry of the performance, you’ve got to watch a live version without all the fast cuts and camera angles. My favorite is the one they did on the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon… the stage was GORGEOUS and so were they.
Oh also… BTS has a crazy fictional storyline that runs throughout their albums called the “Bangtan Universe,” AKA the BU. Tiny bits of the storyline were teased and revealed slowly over the years in music videos, comics, notes that were packaged with the CDs, etc. Fake Love’s music video is pretty heavy with the BU stuff, so that’s why there’s all this symbolism that makes absolutely no sense to a casual viewer…. Suga and fire, Jimin and water, V and phones, J Hope and carnival equipment and snickers bars… et cetera et cetera. Blood Sweat and Tears, while amazing, will probably be equally confusing when you watch it. 😅
Black Swan makes me cry. The song is a cry for help but also self-awareness of the fear they have of losing their passion: Music. BTS lyrics are so, so, so, SO freaking complex it takes several rewatches to understand even watching Korean videos to break it down for us foreigners bc we don't get the creative word plays or Korean references. They all have a hand in their work and production. The pandemic hit bts like a brick wall. Black Swan is living proof. What a heartbreaking song. BTS also have storyline called BTS Universe that kind of correlates all of their music videos and concepts together . Easter eggs and hidden double meanings in almost everything. It's so complex, I've only been a fan for 2 years and I get it all, I have no idea how I got here and understand so much, because it is SO MUCH. It's overwhelming. But the BTS rabbit hole...it's a disease. And it's contagious. Please continue your BTS journey! p.s: their sets are real. They hardly ever use green screen. My Universe had green screen since they recorded in opposites of the world, meanwhile Black Swan And Fake Love were real. That was real water flooding, that was real fire. It's real. BTS...theyre incredible.
Some things you should know about Fake Love...when they perform live, Jungkook has admitted to oiling his abs since the choreography has him lifting his shirt. 😆 Also, in one of their recent concerts during a live performance of Fake Love, the button to Jungkook's top popped straight off and abandoned him mid-song..... 😅😅😅😅

I am a huge swiftie AND army so I know you are gonna absolutely LOVE BTS if you love Taylor. Like Taylor they are songwriting geniuses. They write and produce most of their songs. Their songs are always based on their personal experiences. Their lyrics have so many insane Korean references and metaphors. You have to really deep dive in their lyrics cause they are so worth it. You can read their English lyric translations. Many armys explain their wordplays too. Also their versatility is insane (as you might have figured out from watching these few videos). They put so much attention to details in their lyrics, production, music video, performances, everything. As if this wasn't enough, all of them are the most kindest, sweetest and loveable people on the earth. Their love for each other and their fans is so special. You really need to stan them. (Also fun fact, the theatre in which they filmed the black Swan MV 25:12 is the same theatre where Taylor filmed delicate MV)

I totally agree with your observation on My Universe. Had Cris made use of Jin high head tone and Jimin's high notes, the song could have gotten to a higher peak as your well put it into words. Nonetheless, the song ended pretty safer.

Ahhh I can’t wait for you to get farther into the rabbit hole. I’m also a one direction fan and then I started watching and listening to bts and there was no turning back. I highly recommend watching Taylor nakomotos guide to the bangtan seven. It lets you get to know about the group as well as the individual members. There’s so much to learn but I do really recommend also looking at the lyrics at doolset to get an accurate translation because the lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful. All of the members wrote and produce their own music, especially rm and suga and j hope.
Every member of BTS is multitalented. But if you think Jimin is just a cutie(he is adorable)you need to watch his dancing. There’s a completely different side to him that is as sexy as you can get. He is an incredible dancer in multiple genres(ballet,modern,contemporary,hip hop,interpretive). Try watching him dance to Serendipity and Filter. You will really lose it. Lol. I love all of them and think they are all gorgeous and extremely talented but i have to admit that RM is my bias.

There is a saying among ARMY that BTS finds you when you need them. You are sitting there in your sloth hoodie and your day old mascara and this could be that moment for you. Almost all of us have been there. Whether it’s their meaningful lyrics, or their hilarious reality show, (did you know they have a reality show called RUN BTS that you can watch on RUclips where they are supposed to play games and do challenges, but really they just cheat and make fun of each other?) or their live broadcasts or their funny compilation videos. (Highly recommend you look up any videos by sugarmy) or their speeches. They have helped literally millions of people who were too depressed to put on real clothes to smile and learn to love themselves. That is why BTS is different than any other band that is or ever was.
You have to watch their contens, you really get to see their personalities. I LOVE their music and MV but what made me a fan was watching them off stage, like in Run BTS, their variety show. And how close they are with each other, love and support each other and how goofy they are. Jimin laughs a lot and with his whole body, so most of the time he ends on the floor laughing 🤣
Regarding your mention of depression and Black Swan being a spiritual experience. Yes! I've been ARMY for only 10 months and have seen story after story about how BTS has saved lives, touched people in ways that got them through illness, death of loved ones, pandemic, work, any and all trials of life. I never doubted that the group and their music could have that impact, but while they brought me and my family endless joy and delight I didn't necessarily consider them life changing. And then it got real for me at the end of this past year when I was reflecting on how I feel about myself, how my year was. In the past year and 8 months I have been diagnosed with ADHD and with hypermobile EDS. Basically my life has been turned right side up and has been all sorts of disorienting. I'm nearly fourty and have spent my life feeling like I was broken, defective, weird, and unlovable. This year, I have finally learned to love myself as I am, to see my worth and my significance. Well, I have started to anyway, and my ability to love myself and speak myself, speak my story is growing every day. And tangentially, I am better able to see and love others as they are. This is because of BTS and their music. Somehow, their music speaks to the weak, ugly, scary parts of me and allows me to see the beauty within the mess. To see the beauty that is beauty because of the mess. To see the beauty because the mess is. I hope that for you, too, that their music can be uplifting, meet you where you are, ride alongside you in your journey, and give you the grace, strength, and will to journey on.

Other songs likely to make you burst into tears are Answer: Love Yourself and Magic Shop, especially the live versions for both. I will you say one other thing. Many of us came to BTS during our lowest times. The kind of times when all we could manage was our own version of a sloth hoodie. I personally credit BTS with saving my life. The advice and things I've learned from Suga and RM I use almost everyday to get me through, especially in their solo albums, mixtapes and vlives. The self-care, love and acceptance of myself I've learned again from Jin and Jimin, J-Hope's laughter and professionalism, V's chameleon beauty, grace and charm, JK's fierce love and bravery in showing his emotions, and on and on. I quote them all the time, I watch study ASMR videos of them to help me with my focus and work ethic (since theirs is BEAST MODE, right). I found BTS and ARMY during Trump, BLM and COVID. They saved me, Thank God!

For a bit of context this MV dropped out of nowhere. They had given us a full timeline when everything would premiere so we could do our magic (aka stream like crazy). Then, after ON had dropped and we thought we were in the clear, THIS masterpiece drops. We had the song for about a month now, because Black Swan was the first song released from this album (Map of the Soul: 7), so nobody expected an MV a month later.
Then they do that scene in the stairs all looking like models/paintings/sculptures just gods really and we lost it.

The one with the low voice is V. He’s a baritone with a love of jazz. He’s been voted the most handsome man in the world. Jimin is indeed an angel, looks, voice, and personality. The vocal line is incredible, they harmonize and work so well together. The rap line is equally impressive, honestly, I'm so in love with the rap line its not even funny. Yes, they are all gorgeous, they are all talented, they are all hard-working, humble, smart people. RM and J-Hope's recent solo albums are freaking amazing. BTS is the one group where I love 99% of everything they have done. The rap, the vocals, the ballads, the R&B, the hiphop, the pop, the jazz, everything is just so good. I hope you explore more of their work. There's nothing wrong with falling for their looks, dancing, singing, rapping, and personalities. Honestly, I'm a V bias and Suga bias wrecker BUT PARK JIMIN in person is a whole another being. He was the one who really amazed me in person both visually and musically. Not saying that the others weren't amazing but he was just the most surprising to me.

I’ve actually never been a fan of any boy band although I’ve had decades of opportunity beginning with the Beatles. All it took was one mv, and I was instantly captivated by BTS. Suga’s mesmerizing stage presence, savage beats & brutally honest lyrics were irresistible.

I'm a 54 year old Army, and my adult kids think that BTS is "just a K-pop boy band that does pop music only.
I told them that BTS themselves say that their music resides outside of being labeled as a K-pop/ hip-hop band because their music is written and performed in ALL the genres.
Actually, I would describe them as being in a class all by themselves, both literally and figuratively. They are the trailblazers who are creating music that blends genres, thus expanding and making innovative music.
They are trend setters. They started putting out reactions to their own music videos. Now, it is standard for any idol group to do this. At the beginning of their career, they were not featured on variety shows because they came from a small and relatively unknown company. They created their own variety show in order for their fans to get to know them better. Their show has become legendary in its popularity. Now, it is common practice for idol groups to do this.
BTS began to submit their work to the American Grammy Awards. Now, other idol groups are doing this. All of the above reasons are why BTS are revered by both their fans and their own peers, and I would say, from netizens around the world. It is their ever-present kindness, insane musical giftedness, and their unfailing humility that has endeared them to my heart forever.

Black swan is really beautiful. Before BTS, Jimin trained in contemporary dance-that was him doing all the solo dance shots and silhouettes. But really, in order to see the full artistry of the performance, you’ve got to watch a live version without all the fast cuts and camera angles. My favorite is the one they did on the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon… the stage was GORGEOUS and so were they.
Oh also… BTS has a crazy fictional storyline that runs throughout their albums called the “Bangtan Universe,” AKA the BU. Tiny bits of the storyline were teased and revealed slowly over the years in music videos, comics, notes that were packaged with the CDs, etc. Fake Love’s music video is pretty heavy with the BU stuff, so that’s why there’s all this symbolism that makes absolutely no sense to a casual viewer…. Suga and fire, Jimin and water, V and phones, J Hope and carnival equipment and snickers bars… et cetera et cetera. Blood Sweat and Tears, while amazing, will probably be equally confusing when you watch it. 😅

Black Swan makes me cry. The song is a cry for help but also self-awareness of the fear they have of losing their passion: Music. BTS lyrics are so, so, so, SO freaking complex it takes several rewatches to understand even watching Korean videos to break it down for us foreigners bc we don't get the creative word plays or Korean references. They all have a hand in their work and production. The pandemic hit bts like a brick wall. Black Swan is living proof. What a heartbreaking song. BTS also have storyline called BTS Universe that kind of correlates all of their music videos and concepts together . Easter eggs and hidden double meanings in almost everything. It's so complex, I've only been a fan for 2 years and I get it all, I have no idea how I got here and understand so much, because it is SO MUCH. It's overwhelming. But the BTS rabbit hole...it's a disease. And it's contagious. Please continue your BTS journey!
p.s: their sets are real. They hardly ever use green screen. My Universe had green screen since they recorded in opposites of the world, meanwhile Black Swan And Fake Love were real. That was real water flooding, that was real fire. It's real. BTS...theyre incredible.

I am a huge swiftie AND army so I know you are gonna absolutely LOVE BTS if you love Taylor. Like Taylor they are songwriting geniuses. They write and produce most of their songs. Their songs are always based on their personal experiences. Their lyrics have so many insane Korean references and metaphors. You have to really deep dive in their lyrics cause they are so worth it. You can read their English lyric translations. Many armys explain their wordplays too. Also their versatility is insane (as you might have figured out from watching these few videos). They put so much attention to details in their lyrics, production, music video, performances, everything. As if this wasn't enough, all of them are the most kindest, sweetest and loveable people on the earth. Their love for each other and their fans is so special. You really need to stan them.
(Also fun fact, the theatre in which they filmed the black Swan MV 25:12 is the same theatre where Taylor filmed delicate MV)

@@alexray_ I've seen some reactors listen to the song/mv, then watch it a second time to take in the cinematography, then do a deep dive of the lyrics, then react to the dance practice. Seems like a lot, but ARMY's love long videos (if you haven't guessed already lol). Do it at your own pace, so no worries!

I totally agree with your observation on My Universe. Had Cris made use of Jin high head tone and Jimin's high notes, the song could have gotten to a higher peak as your well put it into words. Nonetheless, the song ended pretty safer.

Ahhh I can’t wait for you to get farther into the rabbit hole. I’m also a one direction fan and then I started watching and listening to bts and there was no turning back. I highly recommend watching Taylor nakomotos guide to the bangtan seven. It lets you get to know about the group as well as the individual members. There’s so much to learn but I do really recommend also looking at the lyrics at doolset to get an accurate translation because the lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful. All of the members wrote and produce their own music, especially rm and suga and j hope.

Every member of BTS is multitalented. But if you think Jimin is just a cutie(he is adorable)you need to watch his dancing. There’s a completely different side to him that is as sexy as you can get. He is an incredible dancer in multiple genres(ballet,modern,contemporary,hip hop,interpretive). Try watching him dance to Serendipity and Filter. You will really lose it. Lol. I love all of them and think they are all gorgeous and extremely talented but i have to admit that RM is my bias.

There is a saying among ARMY that BTS finds you when you need them. You are sitting there in your sloth hoodie and your day old mascara and this could be that moment for you. Almost all of us have been there. Whether it’s their meaningful lyrics, or their hilarious reality show, (did you know they have a reality show called RUN BTS that you can watch on RUclips where they are supposed to play games and do challenges, but really they just cheat and make fun of each other?) or their live broadcasts or their funny compilation videos. (Highly recommend you look up any videos by sugarmy) or their speeches. They have helped literally millions of people who were too depressed to put on real clothes to smile and learn to love themselves. That is why BTS is different than any other band that is or ever was.
You have to watch their contens, you really get to see their personalities. I LOVE their music and MV but what made me a fan was watching them off stage, like in Run BTS, their variety show. And how close they are with each other, love and support each other and how goofy they are. Jimin laughs a lot and with his whole body, so most of the time he ends on the floor laughing 🤣
Regarding your mention of depression and Black Swan being a spiritual experience. Yes! I've been ARMY for only 10 months and have seen story after story about how BTS has saved lives, touched people in ways that got them through illness, death of loved ones, pandemic, work, any and all trials of life. I never doubted that the group and their music could have that impact, but while they brought me and my family endless joy and delight I didn't necessarily consider them life changing.
And then it got real for me at the end of this past year when I was reflecting on how I feel about myself, how my year was. In the past year and 8 months I have been diagnosed with ADHD and with hypermobile EDS. Basically my life has been turned right side up and has been all sorts of disorienting. I'm nearly fourty and have spent my life feeling like I was broken, defective, weird, and unlovable. This year, I have finally learned to love myself as I am, to see my worth and my significance. Well, I have started to anyway, and my ability to love myself and speak myself, speak my story is growing every day. And tangentially, I am better able to see and love others as they are.
This is because of BTS and their music. Somehow, their music speaks to the weak, ugly, scary parts of me and allows me to see the beauty within the mess. To see the beauty that is beauty because of the mess. To see the beauty because the mess is. I hope that for you, too, that their music can be uplifting, meet you where you are, ride alongside you in your journey, and give you the grace, strength, and will to journey on.
