Thank you for the time on this video. I'm between this Generator and one other to power most of our house during outages. This one just keeps winning each video I watch. Thank you again for your time and information.
Great demonstration video. I say to just use ethanol free gas from day one and that will keep that engine last much longer. I had a generator with gas for 2 years and the ethanol free gas was still good. The generator started right up.
I have the WGen9500DF. No c. It came in handy when on 8/6/2024 we in NE Ohio were hit with a sudden storm that left my community without power for 4 days. Ran it on gasoline. I will be trying propane soon.
@dmac80 I can’t say for sure exactly how many watts I was running during use but somewhere in the 7-8k watts range and I think I got a good 10-11 hours on a full tank but I’ve heard some people got over 12 hours so everyone’s usage/results will be different.
I just ordered the tri-fuel version of this gen. My home has all gas appliances. I'm in hurricane alley. I have a 5 ton AC with a soft start. I have a 50amp interlock to my main panel. I have my fingers crossed it will handle the start up on my AC. Others have done it. I think it will depend on how good my nat gas pressure is.
@@DieselLegiance They say that about the capablity of this generator to produce exactly 60Hz. (Total Harmonics Distortion) It seems it is not very good at that.
As long as you have surge protection at home for your electronics you will have no issues. Just don't plug sensitive electronics directly to the generator without some kind of surge protection
My brand new one just like yours is surging. Dont know how to fix..looking for a video on how to. Never have used it yet. Let it run today for a hour and noticed that the engine vibrates a lot..is that normal..sorry to ask..Lady looking for some help.

Saved, I am planning to buy the same generator and I will definitely need this video in the future. Excellent tutorial

Just bought this exact model. May I ask how long it ran on the full tank and approx how many watts you used during that time?

You gave a very good demo on this video.
just bought this after hurricane. thank you for this video. very informative.
Great informative video thanks
You should turn the fuel off while it's running to get the gas out of the carburetor

Why not do a test before you have a power outage?
@@JetFire9 I will. I just received my generator.
Great video thank you for sharing!
I have the same generator but I would like to use propane would that be the same steps?
I hear that its not recommended to run sensitive electronics due to power surges. Will a basic surge protector remedy this concern?
It has built in GFI protected outlets so not sure why some say it’s not safe but you can use a surge protector for added protection.

I run surge protectors plus UPS's on my electronics. Been doing that long before I bought the generator. No issues so far.
Power conditioners are recommended for sensitive electronics.
What are your plans for storing?
I just keep it in my garage. Occasionally I may Syphon old gas and replace with new.
Why do some have the power receptacles in reverse? Different factory (can’t be more than one???), or years of mfg?
Very informative!
Thank you!

Not sure, but one of the main reasons generators surge is bad fuel, incorrect fuel, or even low fuel.
@@DieselLegiance Oh wow..thank you so much. Going to get the old gas out and add new and clean the carb idle thingy. Thank you.
Probably bad gas
How long will 20 lb propane tank power this generator?
I’m honestly not sure as I have not tried propane yet. Sorry…
Bought this and doesn’t work out of the box. Still waiting for customer support to get back to me after almost a week.
That’s odd. Mine worked instantly and still works great. Take it back to the store for a replacement. You usually have 30-90 days.
Mine did the same. Replaced the spark plug with a hotter NGK spark plug. Fired right up.
Mine had an oil low after putting oil it worked
It has not-so-good THD, can fry sensitive electronics
