Great find! This is definitely a unique design, won't be many of these yet on the streets of New Zealand. I love how the rear of the truck is shaped similar to a spout on a jug you'd use in the kitchen so the waste can be "poured" out the back while keeping the truck body clean from the waste. What kind of compactor mechanism does this truck use to move the waste into the body of the truck? What sort of comments did the driver have with you?
Thanks for pointing out the purpose of the "jug" at the rear of the truck. I probably should have realised it, but I am Aussie, and we are a little behind the times as you know 😂
This is an absolutely fascinating process to watch and I think must be unique to New Zealand. I can't imagine doing this in all types of weather, especially in heavy rain. Excellent video, well done 👏 👍
