    I bought my wife a 2010 MKS and that thing is the bomb. I am sick and tired of people blowing snot about how Lincolns are lacking somehow. Do yourself a favor and drive a Lincoln.

      I agree, I drive a 2006 Lincoln Town Car which I'd get another but I also like the looks of this MKS which I need to drive one.

    I recently bought one of these with 47,000 miles. Funny enough, I was looking at Challengers, Chargers, Camaros, and Mustangs. This Lincoln outperformed some of those and had some insane features given the price tag. (Thank you, luxury car depreciation.) This thing is fast, smooth, well equipped, and comfortable. For anyone out there right now sitting at a used dealership questioning if this car is good for you... I beat a Camaro's 0-60 with heated seats and a back massager.

      Do you have the 3.7 or Ecoboost I really like the sound of the 3.7 over the ecoboost but the ecoboost is just so much faster

    • @fehnraal9144

      @@lethargicstove2024 I bought the 2014 3.7L. I shopped around for a while before landing on that one. I drove a 2014 V6 camaro, a 2011 Challenger V6 and a V8 around the same year, a 2016 Charger R/T and a Toyota 86. None of them felt as good as the Lincoln did.
      The visibility was unmatched, the quality was unmatched, and the acceleration felt faster than any of the other cars except for the Charger R/T.
      Pair this with the rapid depreciation that luxury cars suffer from and I ended up with an affordable, comfortable, feature-rich car that performs as well as some of the base model pony cars. (Of that generation, anyway )

      For what it's worth, I paid something like $21,000 plus warranties and GAP. This car is now worth about $8,000 due to depreciation. It doesn't bother me because I'm still in love with the car. You can get one with great mileage for probably still less than $12,000. Nobody really looks twice at these because of that controversial front end... But there's a lot to love imo @lethargicstove2024

      +Martin Dennis yeah that's the thing, I was looking at this last week and don't really see anything other then a little more powerful engine and better stereo, I really don't see much different between the Taurus Limited, besides the fact badges. I will likely just get the Taurus and save money. Lincoln needs to get it together.

    • @yoshiakik.5332
      @yoshiakik.5332 8 лет назад

      They look different however. I only seen one new MKS, in the past few years in SoCal, and it was waxed, and looked pretty nice. I had to go up to it to check it out, and I was impressed, tbqh. I see used ones once in a while on the road though, but the first time I seen one, it made an impression - much more so than the European and Japanese luxury cars you see everyday.

    I'm considering the 2015 version of the MKS and appreciate your review. I was glad to see a young person's review. My wife and I are both 51 and we have a 6 year daughter. I guess we're the demographic (minus the child) who buys the MKS. I think because this car is not that popular, i can negotiate a good price. Thank you, again.

    • @allenedmonds2010
      @allenedmonds2010 9 лет назад +2

      I only see the elderly driving the MKS, which is too bad because it's not exactly an Oldsmobile. I bought a CPO '14 MKS a few weeks ago and ended up getting the Ecoboost engine, which makes the car a rocket!

    • @allenedmonds2010
      @allenedmonds2010 8 лет назад +1

      +RetroGuy76 We've had the MKS for a month and we really like it. Our 6 year old daughter thinks its, cool and that's good enough for me. The car's previous owner was Avis, but unlike a lot of ex-rental cars, this one was taken care of. I have a some minor paint correction and chip repair to do when it warms up in a few weeks. The interior is very high quality and quiet. The THX stereo is better than anything I've ever owned. The ride is and handling are exceptional, but we drive our cars very gently. The Ecoboost engine is an option on the MKS and puts the car in the $50K range if purchased, new. By purchasing this car as a certified pre-owned, I got about a 50% discount. For anyone looking for a high quality luxury car, the MKS is a good deal. A similar BMW 5 or Lexus GS, used, would have close to $40K. We even looked at similar used Buick LaCrosse and they were priced over $35K. and missing some of the options the MKS has.

    • @allenedmonds2010
      @allenedmonds2010 8 лет назад

      I own a few Volvo's and the MKS' interior is as good as anything I've experienced. Lincoln uses Scottish Bridge of Weir brand leather and I'm very impressed. I think the seats in modern cars are all engineered for safety, unlike the old bench seats. My brother in law likes Pomtiacs. Too bad GM doesn't bring it back along the lines of its former muscle cats like the GTO.

    • @yoshiakik.5332
      @yoshiakik.5332 8 лет назад +1

      Very nice. So it was the 2015? Not a bad deal, I don't think I'd ever want to purchase a rental car, (as people now days don't take care of anything). I drive rentals most of the year, and most, if not brand new, are terribly taken care of and abused. But still, a deal is a deal. How many miles did it have on it? Also, you got me curious, I checked Avis, and they have a 2015 BMW 5 series, 528I for about ~25k, in the area.

    • @allenedmonds2010
      @allenedmonds2010 8 лет назад +1

      Last December I bought the car, a certified pre-owned (CPO) 2014 MKS Ecoboost from a Lincoln dealer with 34K miles. CarFax said it was a former Avis rental car that spent its first year in NV, then sold at auction. CPOs from one of the major manufacturers gives you peace of mind because Lincoln is particular about used cars it resells. In the 12 months I 've had it, I had a wheel bearing replaced tne fuel pump was replaced under warranty. The OEM 20" Michelins are wearing out at 41K miles, so I'll have that expense in the next few months. Since I like to detail cars as a hobby, I made it look brand new.

    The MKS is one of the world's best Luxury car bargains. The issue it has is the Lincoln brand has a very matronly image. Another issue is big sedans are not selling much anymore.

    • @jvarela965
      @jvarela965 10 лет назад +1

      At $43k for base it is a lot of car for the money. The problem is today's luxury car buyers lease their cars to write the payments off as an expense. Hence they are not as thrifty as the WWII generation which could not and had to pay 70% income taxes.

      @Chackers eh sometimes reviews are wrong. That’s why they differ so much depending who writes them. I currently daily drive a 2013 mks eco boost with 30k miles. I have a hand full of mods and am making over 500hp. I absolutely love it. It’s plenty luxurious for me. I can have my massaging seats on while running a 12second 1/4 mile. Also have no problems getting around when it snows with AWD and heated wheel/seats. I love surprising Mustangs gt’s and Camaro ss’s when I gap them running faster the a c5 corvette zo6 and I only have $25k into it including purchase cost and only 30k miles.

    I enjoyed this review - appreciate it.
    When I was 25, I bought a Lincoln Town Car because nobody my age had one. Everybody loved that car and we had a blast in it. The only downside was I got stuck driving because everyone else had a tiny, cheap sports car.
    If I saw a young guy in an MKZ or MKS, I'd think "that kid is a thinking contrarian with his sh1t together!"

    How is the ride quality of car compared with a Mercedes E class or a BMW 5 series, is it atleast class competitive ride, from video it felt as if ride quality was stiff , I like the MKS cuz it looks much different from the usual kidney grill BMW and 3 pointed star and do you guys think this car is a worthwhile competition to Germans in terms of ride, handling,power,, my biggest priority is ride, I hate gutters on road and does the MKS iron them like the 5 series and the E class does?

    • @VehicleVirgins
      @VehicleVirgins  10 лет назад +1

      The ride on the MKS is good, not great, remember that it is based off the Ford Taurus. It is not as smooth as its German rivals but is still a very comfortable luxury sedan. Thanks for the question!

      +Vehicle Virgins
      I would agree if you were talking about a Mercedes that cost twice as much or a 7 series.
      But there is not much difference between the Lincoln or a BMW. We are talking purely about ride comfort and luxury not performance.
      Obviously an S class is better than an MKS but an S class is probably better than anything on the market.

    • @RBZ06LT6
      @RBZ06LT6 7 лет назад

      People need to get over it. Ecoboost engines are just turbo engines. Its been 40 years now that car companies use them in their products. So whats so remarkable to have 304 hp?

    • @RBZ06LT6
      @RBZ06LT6 5 лет назад

      BBQ Nut again, nothing remarkable there. You said it, most v6s make 300hp without turbo. Whats so good to have 400hp woth turbos on?? Plus, ecoboost engines are gas guzzlers. Its a 90s solution. They did that on many cars in the 90s. Today, good companies are able to make n/a v8s producing 500hp with better fuel economy that a 400hp v6 ecoboost lol. Better sound too.

    • @RBZ06LT6

    • @RBZ06LT6
      @RBZ06LT6 5 лет назад

      BBQ Nut i think youre new in that thing. I know exactly what i am talking about. Even Ford techs say they wouldnt touch the ecoboost equiped f-150s. And BTW 180000 miles is nothing loll😂😂. I think only Ford guys actually think its much. It doesn’t say how many repairs it had in order to reach such "high" milleage🤣🤣.
