Eduard Mendy is one of the best gk in the world. Calling him overrated or bad is outrageous. He had a rough season due to our defense was non existent in the second half and lots of turbulence around Chelsea
28:14 Can someone please explain how Joe has got to the conclusion that Edouard Mendy has the worst save percentage in the league? Stats say chelsea has the 2nd best save percentage...
I know that the status quo will plump for Mount being a better player than Smith-Rowe currently. But I would be intrigued to see how Smith-Rowe would play over a season with Jorginho and Kante behind him and I also wonder if Mason Mount would play as well whilst having Elneny and Xahka supporting him?? I agree with Pato that Xhaka gets unfairly made a boo-boy and is far above average but in general it's not exactly like Smith-Rowe is surrounded by the same quality of team mate is it (particularly because Arsenal have had injuries to a lot of their best players and don't have the strength in depth Chelsea have). I suppose what I'm saying is that unless Arteta gets backed in the transfer market over the next two windows then it shouldn't just be Saka that's looking to move to a more ambitious club! I know they're not the same style of player but Bayern have tried for Hudson-Odoi for circa 50m euros in the past. I reckon Smith-Rowe would be a bargain and an even better fit for Bayern at the same sort of fee. He could even become one of Newcastle's "Galatico" signings or be an Englishman developing into a world class player in Serie A like Abraham and Tomori have both done. If I was a manager of a top club with a big transfer budget this summer then I'd definitely be sending a fax to Arsenal to make an opening offer for Smith-Rowe! Mason Mount is bloody awesome but the fact is he's not for sale at any price whereas there could genuinely be a bargain to be had if Arsenal don't prove they're ambitious and that they deserve to keep their young talents. I'd add Martinelli to this list too (he would gel and have chemistry with Vinicious Jr at Madrid and be great to replace Bale and Isco in their squad). As well as Smith-Rowe and Saka. Eddie Nketiah is the bargain of the summer for non-English clubs too who don't have to pay big compensation... Roma should pair him up with Abraham if Mourinho wants a title challenge in 22/23. Liverpool should swap 80m quid + Alex Oxlade Chamberlain for Saka as that would be a good deal for both players and both clubs too really.
Salah August-December > Kdb January-May Salah January-May > Kdb August-December Salah has been better than KDB overall only recency bias makes kdb look better, however Alisson have been world class pretty much week in week in a title race so he should really win it however attacker bias wont let them win
KDB has been better than Salah in the last half of the season.. Salah was better in the first half but now what the hell happened to him.. He's been quite bad for the past few months now
@@shazamarkham He went to afcon and played like 800 extra minutes in 3 weeks, simply put hes been burnt out hes played more games than anyone else, his body/mind is tired, he probably wont return to great form until next season But kdb was bad between august and December, he got his first assist on the 29th of December
Well Arsenal did beat Everton but Spurs also beat Norwich so thankfully for Zac his “Glad it didn’t happen” is true. Also as a Spurs fan I’m so relieved bc up until that game I was having mini-heart attacks every hour. The joys of being a Tottenham fan, always panicking about whether or not bottle something so obvious.
Son has to be player of the year. Salah shouldn't win player of the year, when he hasnt done anything since January. If it was the first half of the season, it would be Salah.
Also if your argument is if Son dragged Spurs through the first half of the season with goals, then isnt thats what Salah did? He is still top or top 3 in every creative or attacking metric. Son is overperforming way too much (We all know where that train goes.) Salah has way more Assists. He is literally head and shoulders above Son in majority of the metrics. Yeah give the award to Son cuz he dragged them to top 4 over someone who has contributed in over 40% of Liverpool's goals. And even if we consider dragging a team to top 4 is bigger, than where was this argument last season when Salah quite literally dragged Liverpool to 4th. It was just him last year!
because he has a worse minutes per goal contribution over the entire season removing penalties by about 10 minutes compared to Salah, and has a much higher xG. Son has been lucky to score 7 more goals than expected. Especially since Kane has underperfomed his xG by 4 and is a much better finisher then Son.
@@gionnbharra over preforming XG consistently whilst having the highest % shots on target in the league is literally statistical evidence of son being an amazing finisher(been doing this for a few seasons now). Your trying to discredit him for doing more than expected.
The Premier League awards have become lazy all of a sudden, and I think it's the same for Phil Foden, Idk how he won the young POTY award, should've gone to Saka imo.
Agreed with Joe! Absolutely devastated as a United fan this season. Can't watch them. A little bit of hope for Ten Hag, though! IF the board backs him with signings this summer.
Zack needs to stop letting his biases get in the way, Ronaldo deserves to take first spot in the aged like fine wine category. Not that Silva didn’t have a great season or deserving of recognition but he does play in a system that doesn’t expose him too often. Ronaldo played in what was one of the worst man united teams in recent history and got close to being top scorer of the league.

For managers, look at the the squad price compared to success, and the PL manager of the season list pretty much speaks for itself: 1. Conte 2. Klopp 3. Potter 4. Viera Eddie Howe also deserves a shout, because sure a lot was invested in January but they weren’t world class players by any means and Newcastle weren’t much better than Norwich at one point. Gerrard and Lampard have been fantastic considering they’re relatively rookie managers in v poor squads

As a liverpool fan, I would except son winning poty, but not de bruyne for a good end of year, when salah was the best player in the world at the start, de bruyne has never been it this season, imagine salh wins ballon dor but not prem poty.
I love FD but GOD the disrespect on Edouard Mendy's name since day one has been insane. He is one of the best keepers in the league. He's just in a poor vein of form. Even then he generally pulls off a worldie save a game. He is not overrated.
Ralf was brought in mainly for going upstairs. You needed someone to call the glazers and the players out. You will never improve if the players keep the player power they have there.
Best thing to happen to united is ragnick . The same overhyped players would have been still running the show. His 6 months will save 2 or 3 years of hurt.
Best young player his season is clearly trent, but because hes been way too good for years and is playing fo liverpool, if not trent, mount or rice, never foden whos been good but trents been world class and so have mount and rice at some points.
The issue with YPOTY is that you have 3/5 nominees who have played for 3 seasons and over 100 apps. If you cap it at they either have to play less than 50 games at the beginning of the season and under 22 the award will be given to more players who actually deserve it. How can the YPOTY be playing his 5th season of prem football 😂
Here is a little compilation of my worst predictions this season: 1. Manchester United fnishing above Liverpool 2. Leeds finishing 9th 3. Leicester finishing 5th 4. Lukaku Top Scorer 5. Sancho Top Assister My best shouts tho: 1.Real Madrid beating City 2. Real Madrid winning La liga with Benzema finishing top scorer 3. City winning the League (If the dont bottle it)
Unpopular Opinion: It has to be Cristiano Ronaldo for Most Overrated Player of the Season for me, everyone is glorifying him for his goal output but is forgetting he does nothing else defensively or for the systems that were tried to be implemented & I wholeheartedly believe that is what cost Ole his job. The same thing was said when he was at Juve, his goal output covered up the same factors which also arguably cost Pirlo his job. We need to call it for what it is & realize that without him, the proper player playing the original defined role to press from the front would’ve allowed the systems to work better as a whole thus allowing other players that “fell off” this season actually play their role correctly & possibly make up the difference in goal output.

They'll fall behind the teams above and maybe west ham if he sticks to this formula.
The mendy argument is poor, it’s the exact same as The Bruno Large argument, he went about 10 games without conceding a goal and has had a rough 2nd half far from overrated.

De Bruyne's first assist this season was on December 29th on matchday 20. He's just won the Premier League's player of the season ahead of top goalscorer and top assist maker Mo Salah. Foden wins young player of the season aead of Trent with 1 G/A against top 6 sides. BuT tHe MeDiA lOvEs LiVeRpOoL
I know! It’s a joke
Thats because De Bruyne has been too busy scoring goals from midfield instead.
Hamill holiday anecdote at the end had me In tears 😂😂
Tomlinson absolutely pissed off with Ralf Ragnick 😂😂😂
I love Chris Hamill bringing players from other leagues into the equation 💯
POTS: HM Son
Signing of the season: Bruno Guimaraes
U23 POTS: Trent
Manager: David Moyes
Bruno has started 9 games. don't think he has done as much as someone like Kulu or Diaz, their teams achieved because of them.
@@OneGoodCrusader Diaz has started 10 games so how does he count then?

Salah August-December > Kdb January-May
Salah January-May > Kdb August-December
Salah has been better than KDB overall only recency bias makes kdb look better, however Alisson have been world class pretty much week in week in a title race so he should really win it however attacker bias wont let them win
KDB has been better than Salah in the last half of the season..
Salah was better in the first half but now what the hell happened to him.. He's been quite bad for the past few months now
@@shazamarkham He went to afcon and played like 800 extra minutes in 3 weeks, simply put hes been burnt out hes played more games than anyone else, his body/mind is tired, he probably wont return to great form until next season
But kdb was bad between august and December, he got his first assist on the 29th of December
Alisson is clearly better than Ederson that's why he mostly start for Brazil. Alisson play 4/5 last Brazil national games while Ederson warm his bench
how has Salah's Jan - May been better than Kdb ? He has 2 open play goal since february
@@MeteoraXD Read it again…I said salahs end to the season was better than kdbs start to the season, the format is a little tricky to understand
What state did Solskjaer leave utd in? 2nd?
Joe is spot on about Mendy
KDB is the 🐐
Bruno at Newcastle is a great shoutout
Got to admire Chris for squeezing in his mates playing in the Scottish Sunday League occasionally
How is Kulusevski not the best January signing?
Luis Diaz is every Chelsea fans’ dream. FOR ONE OF THE BLOODY SIGNINGS TO ACTUALLY WORK
Son has to be player of the year. Salah shouldn't win player of the year, when he hasnt done anything since January. If it was the first half of the season, it would be Salah.
Over the whole season, Salahs impact has been greater than Sons. irrelevant that it isn't more evenly spread out.
@@gionnbharra Lucky or a good finisher? He has finished above his Xg season after season
@@gionnbharra over preforming XG consistently whilst having the highest % shots on target in the league is literally statistical evidence of son being an amazing finisher(been doing this for a few seasons now). Your trying to discredit him for doing more than expected.
Will you be doing Sunday vibes over the summer even when football isn’t on?
How the hell has de bruyne gone and won poty?
The Premier League awards have become lazy all of a sudden, and I think it's the same for Phil Foden, Idk how he won the young POTY award, should've gone to Saka imo.
Does he win it without those 4 goals against Wolves? Feels like recency bias to me...
[Hamill]
@@FootballDaily Is he the best player in the league yes, but he hasn't been the best player by a mile, Salah Son easily beat him to that imo
@@richiesmit8562 definitely

Agreed with Joe! Absolutely devastated as a United fan this season. Can't watch them. A little bit of hope for Ten Hag, though! IF the board backs him with signings this summer.
Zack needs to stop letting his biases get in the way, Ronaldo deserves to take first spot in the aged like fine wine category. Not that Silva didn’t have a great season or deserving of recognition but he does play in a system that doesn’t expose him too often. Ronaldo played in what was one of the worst man united teams in recent history and got close to being top scorer of the league.

For managers, look at the the squad price compared to success, and the PL manager of the season list pretty much speaks for itself:
1. Conte
2. Klopp
3. Potter
4. Viera
Eddie Howe also deserves a shout, because sure a lot was invested in January but they weren’t world class players by any means and Newcastle weren’t much better than Norwich at one point.
Gerrard and Lampard have been fantastic considering they’re relatively rookie managers in v poor squads
Declan rice is so overrated it’s unbelievable
Worst shout by PVS since he’s not here, is two months ago on Sunday Vibes he said Real Madrid would get nowhere near the UCL final. To which Joe immediately started laughing and said watch someone clip that now
If your overrated shout doesn't anger people, it's not a good shout. Fernandes, Smith-Rowe and Lage are great shouts.
Idk where that fella gets his data from but Mendy is nowhere near the worst save percentage. In all metrics hes been a proper keeper
Very good
The PFA Young Player award now requires you to be 21 at start of the season. Trent isn’t nominated this year.
Yes he is lol.

As a liverpool fan, I would except son winning poty, but not de bruyne for a good end of year, when salah was the best player in the world at the start, de bruyne has never been it this season, imagine salh wins ballon dor but not prem poty.
Salah is never winning Ballon d'Or though, he's gone goalless in 16 of his last 18 games
I genuinely thought Salah was a shoe in. Crazy man.

I love FD but GOD the disrespect on Edouard Mendy's name since day one has been insane. He is one of the best keepers in the league. He's just in a poor vein of form. Even then he generally pulls off a worldie save a game. He is not overrated.
Completely agree with United re Rangnick and Ole
The way this guy just causally mentions average Celtic players amongst the best in the world😭
Ralf was brought in mainly for going upstairs. You needed someone to call the glazers and the players out. You will never improve if the players keep the player power they have there.

Best thing to happen to united is ragnick . The same overhyped players would have been still running the show. His 6 months will save 2 or 3 years of hurt.

Eddie Howe has to be Manager Of The Year and Joelinton Biggest Surprise or Biggest Redemption
Best young player his season is clearly trent, but because hes been way too good for years and is playing fo liverpool, if not trent, mount or rice, never foden whos been good but trents been world class and so have mount and rice at some points.
Rice should have won
@@jairusfukiau1239 possibly but you can't argue trents been better.
Shout out from San Diego California Arsenal my bottling team❤️🫶🏾

Here is a little compilation of my worst predictions this season:
1. Manchester United fnishing above Liverpool
2. Leeds finishing 9th
3. Leicester finishing 5th
4. Lukaku Top Scorer
5. Sancho Top Assister
My best shouts tho:
1.Real Madrid beating City
2. Real Madrid winning La liga with Benzema finishing top scorer

If Curtis Jones goes on loan for a season he'll return a baller

There has been no improvement at arsenal. They'll fall behind the teams above and maybe west ham if he sticks to this formula.
