Solo bossing yes. Bishops were designed to be party bossers. In a party bishops boost the party's final damage and lower bosses' IED. F/P on the other hand is a dps class so it does better with gear progression as a whole. So, it really depends if you are doing more bossing as a party or as a solo player then u may want to decide to change to F/P, Bishop or even I/L. Though that really also depends if you like the play style.

Are FP mages better than Bishops on bosses? Because I have 40k INT but I don't even get close to that damage
