  • The reconstruction of a Rover 8, by Ray Beech. The car had been found and dismantled some 55 years ago by a previous owner. Ray bought the kit of parts in 2014 and the re-build work has taken place over two years between early 2015 and mid 2017.

    Wonderful to see the car brought back to life! Have a picture of my dad in his fathers car c1927, believe the cylinder heads glow when running, would like to see that!

    Thanks for posting,a lot of work well done.I love to see old Rovers restored and back in use,hope you continue to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

    Hi Ray, I appreciate that this is a bit late in the day as you produced this video 6 years' ago; but can you please tell me what the knob protruding through the top left of the front grille is for. Thank you.

      Hi, The knob operates the choke and it makes sense as it is where you stand when starting.
