Dell LATITUDE E7204 laptop repair
The motherboard of this laptop is coded LA-9431P REV 1.0
The problem with this device is that it does not respond to the power button in any way, despite the integrity of the button and the integrity of all components of the motherboard, except for a defect in the functions of the io chip.
The device works very normally when the coms settings are reset and connected to a power source and works on its own.
Before starting the repair process, we have attached illustrative (anatomical) pictures of all voltages and natural impedances on the circuits.
We started the repair process by reviewing the faults, then we moved to the general plan of the device as well as the board view for the purpose of tracking the paths and analyzing the faults in an accurate scientific manner.
After conducting many measurements, we concluded that the cause of the malfunction is the failure of the SIO_PWRBTN signal to emerge from the IO CHIP, and therefore we have two options to repair the device.
the first
Replacing the IO, which is expensive and difficult, because this type of IO requires programming, and it also contains a software-protected section that cannot be dealt with. Therefore, we need to replace it with another extracted from a similar device in order for all the device’s functions to work properly.
the second
Is to find a scientific and practical way to replace this defective part in the IO chip
This required us to make a simple electronic circuit and connect it to the input and output signals of the power button on the IO chip for the purpose of taking into account the conditions of the POWER SEQUENCE.
After implementing the idea and testing it in practice, the device returned to working perfectly, praise be to God.

الموضوع شيق جدا و شكرا على المعلومة القيمة اخي . عندي اقتراح بسيط لو وضعنا دايود في خرج دارة ال RC . يعني راح تمنع ال false triggering .
