Thank you for being so honest, I couldn't agree more... the pressure that YT gurus give to small creators is just insane because.. I can also relate to your story, and somehow I stopped filming but I guess me seeing this video is a sign from the universe to continuously show up as my authentic self, eventually I will find my community because that’s one of the reasons I created a YT channel
You should dive more into your niches like fashion and being from Kenya. The more you do tutorials the more your audience is gonna want and expect that from you.
The guru might also have an editor who edits her videos hence why she/he can record the videos and the editor does the biggest job which is editing. I appreciate you having this vulnerable conversation. I decided as a new RUclipsr that instead of focusing on the numbers and views for the first year I will focus on putting out different types of content that I am interested in and also improve my editing skills while enjoying living my dream and overcoming my fear of posting.
I understand your situation Stee. I created mine, pushed the content and achieved the monetization requirements after 9 months , applied for it and was REJECTED. I gave up on it but I took so many lessons that I am now applying to someone's channel I am managing. I think even for you, the things you learnt while filming and editing for youtube and applied them in that attachment project that had the university posting you is a big win. I would also advice you be sharing your youtube link in whatsapp groups, whatsapp people usually support youtubers. Instagram and facebook people don't. I am in very many, I can be sharing for you. ~Jason, top fan
Try and have fun doing what you're doing
It's a journey, try and enjoy it. It won't be easy 😅
Exactly RUclips isnt just a place to chase after views, its about having fun
Manifestation is real ,, don't lose it
