Prophet was illiterate has been mentioned in Quraan, when first surat was revealed he himself said he cannot read. Further the examples you give that he signed his own name - this is not a sign of literacy, today you stand at airport or any place where forms are to be filled, ILLITERATE people get them filled by LITERATE ones and they merely sign or thumb stamp, I think you are aware of this reality in today's world. Sending letters to rulers or other states was done by Prophet, yes, but it can be written by somebody and he merely signs it. Further, asking for pen & paper at his death bed, again does not prove his literacy, he might be wanting to get his words documented by somebody. I think all this is common sense, apply this before criticism, which if done in a healthy manner should and will always be welcome by all.

We all are victims of confirmation bias. We want to hear what supports our presumptions/self-interest rather than the truth. This reminds me of a verse in the Quran which says stand for justice even if it means going against your own.....so, no tribalism in Islam!

Since Islam is only 1400 years old so this is obvious that there were no Muslim before Islam. But your claim that all Muslims of Pakistan were Hinhu is totally wrong. We the Pathans were never hindu. We are from Bani-israel who never considered any visible thing as God even before Islam. Pathans has a unique history. There are about 20-30 million pakhtuns in the world and non-of them is Non-Muslim. Historically not a single Pakhtun carried out worshiping idles or any other entity except Allah before and after Islam. Pakhtuns never accepted the supremacy of any force except Allah.
