You don't know how much you motivated me to continue my GFX Business, I stopped my GFX Business because I was getting a lot of schoolworks and GFX is not my top priority. But after my school year ended, I saw this video of yours and GAVE me motivations to continue making GFX. Thank you so much Toast and you got another sub!

i used to make free gfxs (they weren’t the best because i was a beginner) but my skills started to slightly improve! i found myself making these free gfxs for months on end and i would make one like every day and if something went wrong (like pc died/work didn’t save) i would just cry because of the effort i put into it. my friends kept telling me to put prices on my work but like you i wanted everyone to like me :( i was addicted to these nice comments on my videos but i feel like a lot of them were fake and people just wanted to get more money out of me. i eventually stopped because the constant strain to spend so much time on them made me bored and stopped liking creating this art. i still enjoy 3D modelling and i do make gfxs from time to time but i sort of gave up and it was pretty sad. this advice you have is amazing and super educational (and you explained it perfectly). thank you ❤

as someone who has done gfx before and has made over 500k+ robux id like to add just a few things
2:33 no u dont need to do free work in order to get a starter portfolio, when i first started i was already charging up to 500 for an icon, if u want to show off your artwork, work on your personal projects and show off those instead. dont be a slave
4:14 thats a good point, never undercharge even if u think ur not worth it, trust me your time is worth more than 25 cents even if you're a begginner, ive seen good designers charging so little and its frustrating for other designers because it lowers the market value if that makes sense

@@Luc1dd_ well tbh i rarely do gfx commissions but i've been more sucessful with clothing designing. i've advertised alot but not alot of people want gfxes in my opinion but i have gotten a few gfx commissions but i'm more successful as a clothing designer :) it depends tbh

I do GFX and I mostly do rly cheap work or free. I’ve learned the most from free work because I can make mistakes and learn without the fear of messing up.
You motivated me so much because i had a client that always was trying to lower my prices from 150 rbx to 80 i wanted to just get clients but in the end he always rushed me commented on my video that i scammed him because (he hasnt payed yet) i didn't respond. It had a rather bad affect on me. Now i will value my work im so happy your making youtube

I did discounts on peoples first order, and I got some people!
If it helps anyone if u do GFX you should be charging 2500 rbx if ur skilled ofc if your starting you should lower your prices. Once you get better and get more clients you can start making your prices higher. If you don't do this clients will over work you for an unreasonable price thats not fair either. Also make sure they pay you first before doing their work!
