I remember the day this locomotive was being towed to Warragul for preservation behind an L class electric locomotive on a goods train. It was passing through Oakleigh. The cylinders were making a loud hissing noise as the pistons were moving back and forward which is what drew my attention to the passing of the train.
Thanks for the Notification but I was running from the timetable which others had told to me. I do know that there were a lot more other stops during the trip since of the long waiting times before the shots.

Sorry to correct you but there were 3 stops one just outside of Newport and it was just at the refinery
