Saving our diary goat from parasite infestation - Part 1

Life on a little farm is never dull. Apart from our two boys, we now have responsibility over 30 animals under our care and more to come.
We got our goats two weeks ago. I noticed the buck was extremely skinny and was very lethargic. I thought he may just be underfed so we have them lots of Lucerne hay as treats.
However, a few days ago the buck's health suddenly went downhill very quickly. He had serious diarrhoea and wasn't in a bad way.
In a bid to save his life, we rushed him to the vet. He had severe parasite infestation. The vet was surprised that he was still alive. We put him on a very strong dewormer and fed him electrolytes.
Will he survive?
