The lore about Turn A Gundam is that its ultimate capability "Moonlight Butterfly" is a civilization ending phenomenon. Its nano machines can literally dissolve all inorganic materials on the molecular level upon contact, and its area of effect can reach all the way to Jupiter. This is why at the start of the series the Earth only just arrived to first industrialization era of technology, while a lot of the lost technology had to be unearthed via archeological sites. BTW, the Turn A Gundam is also a multi purpose appliance, with applications ranging from full washer and dryer, a barn, and as a nuclear missile silo. Which isn't that far of a stretch from the Ground Type Gundam from 08MS Team that can heat up bath water.
oh no, guys, believe me, you wouldn’t want to live in the Gundam world, especially as a pilot, it’s a very depressing world, with genocide, racial war, and other delights. they don't beat the villain of the week here. The world, for political and economic reasons, has entered an era of endless instability in which millions are becoming victims, destinies are collapsing and no one, including the main characters, is able to resolve this situation. the only thing they can do is destroy their lives for the sake of ambiguous goals and results, receiving either death or a tribunal or persecution from their own state as a reward
You're right 100 % and the most depressing thing about the Gundam universe and especially the universal century is the enemy always wins in the end. The real enemy is conflict and War and despite all the Miracles despite the axis shock despite everything War comes back around
Guys, the very latest OP that you watched was from 2016. It's nowhere near 2022 or 2023. Also, OPs that you missed: - 2 OPs from *Gundam Unicorn* - 3 OPs from *Gundam - The Origin* - 2 OPs from *Gundam Build Divers* - 2 OPs from *Gundam Build Divers Re-Rise* - 2 OPs from *Gundam - The Witch from Mercury*
What really made Gundam revolutionary for its time was that it was the first series where it depicted two human militaries deploying these weapons against each other. All series beforehand, they were fighting aliens or monsters. I would say Gundam is the one franchise closest to Star Wars. A lot of the themes and elements in Star Wars can also be found in Gundam.
A live action gundam was announced and teased during the gundam 40th anniversary and is still in production by legendary studios and the director is an avid fan of gundam and he said the movie will be hosted on Netflix and it will release sometime in 2029 which is far but I'll be patient because to make a good live adaptation for the big screen takes time as well as passion not to mention they gotta respect the source material and as old as gundam is they gotta put all the respect or the granddaddy gundam rx-78 parked in Japan is gonna come to life and shoot a beam through them studios if they mess this up. In short, let them cook 🔥
Gundam exists as one of the most important series as far as animation goes, being the first ever proper attempt at a drama rather than just a toy vehicle. It's up there with Godzilla in terms of cultural importance too so considering legendary did so well with that, that's likely solely why they are now letting it get made considering the last time was a low budget Canadian thing that's so bad the only time they've ever officially acknowledged it was in metaverse where it gets 1 second of background cameo before being literally the first one to die.
@@demiurgos9800 doesn't explicitly say it's Universal Century gundam but it's probably related, heck I wouldn't mind if they did their own timeline parallel or similar to the original 1979 gundam like thunderbolt or Origin. It's own Gundam Cinematic Universe, kinda like marvel but with mechs or maybe in trilogy style like star wars or dune.
I was busy building gunpla when this came out. Thanks for reacting to this! If you plan on watching Gundam, start with The Origin, the prequel to the original 0079, and has modern animation. So it's a good gateway to the original timeline, Universal Century. If you liked the mecha, Origin has a really good line of gunpla too.
Love the channel and what you guys do. Being an avid Gundam fan this collection of series had and still has a massive impact on my life. I've seen every series multiple times even the latest one the witch of mercury. A little easter egg for you to go check out since you mentioned Pacific Rim. If you go watch the second one uprising at the end of the movie you will see a Gundam easter egg. When Ammara ejects out of her Jeager in the final battle of the movie her ejection pod lands in front of Anaheim Electronics and the statue out front is the Unicorn Gundam.
Victory never aired in the states and there was no dub. The creator kinda disavows it because of corporate shenanigans and it has a ridiculous kill/death rate. People just die for the hell of it.
Iron Blooded Orphans is incredible and really heavy in the best ways, it's definitely more of an emotional experience than just a show. You need to watch.
Gundam is a really iconic anime. It's had a significant impact on the entertainment industry. Unfortunately the series doesnt get much attention from reactors. So i hope to see more. Funny enough Transformers inspired the Zeta Gundam as the creator enjoyed the concept of transformation. However, the original Gundam anime predates Tranformers by 5 years. Gundam also has a number of iconic fighting games. The main one is the 2v2 arena fighter called Gundam Versus which is one of the rare few arena fighters that are respected competitively. Also there is the 2D fighter Battle Assault 2. Highly recommend checking them out.
Yo its rare to see a full reaction to most of the Gundam openings! Well at least where I guess yall thought 2016 was the end of the OP haha. Most times I see just one series or a random group of them reacted to. Im here for this! I think total you guys are missing almost 20 songs haha
Living in the Gundam universe sounds good until Zeon/Neo Zeon drops a colony on your neighborhood. Or you in the crib clapping cheeks and a Zaku falls on your house.
Also to be a gundam pilot in the gundam universe is about as worse of a fate as being colony dropped, you will watch your loved ones ⚰️, also you will be used and abused by your captain he will be on your d1ck 24/7 because you aren't just a pilot you don't have special privileges even if you are the only one who knows how to pilot the special gundam in fact it's worse you have no privileges as a gundam pilot, plus you are still a soldier meaning even if you ain't piloting at some point you gotta hold a gun and fight them away from the safety of your slightly indestructible metal coffin, not to mention there's gonna be a lot of bs thrown at you specifically if you the mc and your gonna wish you didn't paint the gundam in red, white, and blue for enemies to see and focus on you specifically, honestly the only way to survive in Gundam is if either you live in a rogue hidden colony or work as a mobile suit/weapons engineer or mechanic because in Gundam Anaheim Electronics sells weapons to both sides and gets away with it because money and smarts, they won't k1ll engineers because in that universe you are the equivalent of the red cross or a doctor, they aren't allowed to 🔫 you because you are an essential worker and it would be a war crime worse than dropping a colony on Earth.

Yes and no, Turn a is in a similar vein to Thunderbolt as, It's an alternate history where each gun them series occurs after each other Which is called the The correct century
9:50 | So... do I tell you that a large majority of the protagonist and people that did pilot a Gundam or a Mobile Suit that tried to replicate or even surpass a Gundam, do hardly end or go through a decent time. For those who find 1st Gundam tv series a bit too dated and hard to watch, I feel ya. Art quality wise, there were segment mid series where Mr Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer/the animation supervisor was hospitalized (no reason given, but I assume overwork). =art consistency? in your dreams, total freedom. Instead, I would highly recommend 10 volumed manga ver Gundam Origin, retelling of the entire series and some by Mr Yasuhiko himself who moved on to become accomplished manga artist. There is anime by the same name, but it only covers Char's origin story up to few minutes prior to the start of the tv series. (="and some" part of the manga) 4:35 Cuz design for Zeta Gundam wasn't finalized at the time they produced the 1st opening, FYI. Since the song was cover of Neil Sedaka's "Better Days are Coming," any physical media or streaming version of the series contained alternate song because of right issues up till 2017 (=agreement at last)
4:51 What is shown on the screen here is not Z-GUNDAM but “GUNDAM Mk-2” And this song “Zeta-Toki-wo-koete / Zeta - Beyond Time” was composed by American legend Neil Sedaka.😊 7:28 The theme song for GUNDAM ZZ is titled “Anime-ja-nai / This is not an anime” and was written by Yasushi Akimoto, who holds the second-highest sales record in Japan. Yes the Turn A is probably the most powerful Gundam. I think only the Unicorn holds a candle to it. It does sprout butterfly wings, using a technology called "Moonlight Butterflies". The wings are actually nanobots that ever expand and consume all technology.

That's Domon from G Gundam G Gundam is NOTHING like any other Gundam series. Most Gundam series are war dramas but G Gundam is a tournament battle shonen inspired by Dragon Ball & wuxia films

It's called "bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger" .. can't wait for your feedback!!
there is a live action gundam movie, its called g savior and it sucks really bad. but they use props and costumes from the starship troopers movies
Can you react to Gundam series? I grew up with Gundam Z, 00, Seed. Pokemon, Slamdunk, Yuyu Hakusho etc. 90s- Early 2000s anime were always Quality

Great reaction. I love Gundam SEED! I hope you checkout the SEED Freedom trailers!
Shame no Gundam Unicorn or Origin, would've really liked to watch those ones.

G Gundam is NOTHING like any other Gundam series. Most Gundam series are war dramas but G Gundam is a tournament battle shonen inspired by Dragon Ball & wuxia films

08th MS Team is basically Gundam Vietnam 😂. It's one of my favorites along G Gundam and 00.
