    When your CB radio sounds like that you need to check you grounds make sure you have good grounds and then go to someone that installs radios like for Police and fire and have them tune your antenna you would be amazed at the difference. I would come do it for you but medically unable.

      Also have your truck Mechanic make sure the cab of the truck is grounded to the frame of the truck and then you have a static strap from the truck to the payment under the truck to stop static electricity

    You gotta adjust it with the couple knobs, googling it would better explain it than I would.

    Cool videos!! It looks like they have some real snug turns getting in & out of there & Daytona. Just curious, do you guys have the dump valves on the trailer axles wired to switches in the cab?

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. We can dump the air. We have to do it to get out of the tunnel at some tracks

    Is it interference from the radios themselves? I get that on my car radio when passing trucks sometimes. Excellent video.

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you. I don't really know what the interface is coming from, but that's definitely what it sounds like

    Do you drive back to the shop after each race. You should do a timelapse from track to shop or track to track.

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  6 месяцев назад

      I've done some short time lapse videos. They're on my TikTok channel. I may do that for somewhere like Bristol or closer. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • @JGanes
    @JGanes 6 месяцев назад +1

    That's an electrical interference sound. You're not going to squelch that out. You're powe wire is routed too close to something it doesn't like.

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you. I'll check that out when we get back to the shop

      @@MotorRacingNGravy I'm not sure about your setup, but I know where I'm at some of the bigger dirt car haulers have a Starlink wifi system in the trailer. That could be something to check on as well. We had a dump truck that was having a slightly similar situation and it turned out that the wires for the heated mirror were interfering with the mirror mounted antenna. Anyway, keep on truckin!

    I have over 32 years experience with my own truck. Also have some Holler experience. Are there any teams looking for Holler drivers and how do I go about looking into it?

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  5 месяцев назад

      My advice is to make a good looking resume and send them to every team you can and follow up

    personally i think cup drivers should not be allowed to drive trucks and only be allowed 5 xfinity races

    New subscriber question… when on the road, do you sleep in the tractor or hotels?

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Between the shop and track, we use the sleeper, but once at the track we get a room. NASCAR won't allow anyone in the garage once it closes, so we don't have a choice in that

    Get the newer CB radios with AM /FM. On the FM side there is less noise

    • @MrThisIsMeToo
      @MrThisIsMeToo 5 месяцев назад

      Modulation has nothing to do with noise. Many disadvantages to and no reason at all to go to FM - unless you like giving into marketing BS.

    Turn your squats down and you'll be able to still hear them

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  6 месяцев назад

      I don't even know what that means. There are no knobs that say squats 🤣 if you're talking about the squelch, I've turned it all the way down and up and I'm still getting the feedback

    Sam what is the worst or hardest track to get in and out of

    • @MotorRacingNGravy
      @MotorRacingNGravy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Bristol without a doubt. Bristol is the one track they want you to have tow hooks installed on your front bumper to get pulled out bc so many stall going up the banking. I have a couple of videos coming in and out of Bristol, and honestly, they do it no justice
