Me and my wife saw him in October in Vancouver. We Went from Michigan US. This guy is the only hope for bringing true wisdom of Guru Nanak Ji into a regular man’s life.
i feel lucky. if i were to try and incapsulate where i belong along a spiritual path it would have the aroma of hinduism/buddhism. i had a famous hindu guru who passed (without scandals) and my wife is a buddhist. i’ve seen myself as a seeker above all else because i don’t want the dogmatic grip of modern cultural interpretations. i have a serious friend who’s understanding of sikhi drew me towards it. the biggest observation he cautiously made of any sikh trying to reach out was-essentially, to not let the hint of dualism creep in. his take on the isa upanishads (my personal scripture) etc, was that there are hints in the translations (proper understandings are needed before simply grasping linguistics) i think some sikhs (maybe) lean more into the last guru, while others lean more into Nanakji. i feel that Satpal leans into Nanak, and his logic is flawless (to me). but this lean is what (i believe) ruffles some sikhs. perhaps because of the other sikhi movement that has modern gurus etc, and actually behaves more like sikhi hindus. whatever the case, i seek the truth, and the egoless, and this path feels extremely important. ❤️🙏🏾 Waheguru
