Excellent information One more thing if you can add in ur next video If i have Schengen Visa for Netherlands but i need to enter from Portugal is it possible?
Hi. If I enter schengen 12/27/22 and leave on 90th day of 3/26/23 and enter a non schengen country that day is it considered last day in schengen and first day in non schengen ? Wouldn't my re entry date in to schengen be a problem as it might not be exactly 180 days that have passed ? Would I have to take an overnight bus or train to arrive the next day in non schengen ? Thanks.
@ChristineClark let’s say I established second citizenship in Malta which is a Schengen country, can I stay in France which is also a Schengen country as long as I want (More than 90 days)?
Hey! i hope you answer me asap,or anyone else so i overstayed more than i suposed to in europe for few month and then i came back to my hometown, and i applied to the same country visa again and they refuse cause i was there illegale before if i apply to another country but in shengen zone will they accept me?
i got a national visa [type D] to travel to Poland for Erasmus+, however i need to enter the schengen zone from Germany and then go to Poland [which is my main destination] by train . is that possible or i have to enter first from the country that gave me visa (poland).
Okay I know you explained but I just wanna be clear for my situation ...so if I stay in Spain for 90 days I have to leave the Schengen Region for 90 days until a new 180 day period starts again?
its very detailed information but I have some question about my situation.I'm a filipina and maried romanian and he live in italy and working so what required documents we need and what visa we will process.
Please any specific requirement for visiting Spain? If i want to enter the schengen area through Spain and leave through Portugal, is there a penalty for that?
So I goofed and booked travel from 16may18 to 14Aug18 in Czechia (91 days). As I understand it, if I catch a flight to Croatia for a week or so I'll be fine flying back out of Czech right? Thanks for the clarification, great video!
Great question, but I'm not sure why going to Croatia for a week would help? It's 90 days out every 6 months - you cannot just leave for a bit and come back in - you have be gone for 90 days. However, since you're just trying to fly out of Czechia and you're not staying there longer, I'm not sure. You're only overstaying by a day so I can't imagine they'll give you much of a hard time, but I haven't experienced this so I can't be sure!
Yes, your idea works! It's 90 days in total, they don't need to be consecutive. So if you're going to be in Czechia from May to August, then escaping to Croatia for a week holiday in, let's say, July, will give you a buffer for when you exit Czechia in August. I overstayed by 2 days and got into trouble, so even though it's only 1 day, it's better to be safe than to pay a fine and risk being restricted for future travel.
Hello, I am a Syrian M.A student and employee and I will apply for a visit Shengen visa to Germany in this summer from 1 June to 1 September. The question is, is it necessary and mandatory for me to get a NOC from the university, taking in consideration that I am not undergraduate but a master student working with my supervisor and the given time for travel is the summer which is considered a holiday. And if I don't get it will as a rule my application will be refused. Hope you answer me soon and thanks in advance
I’m traveling to Spain for the winter from Canada (115 days)... and I want multiple entry into Spain as I’d like to travel around Europe while we are there... what do I need??
It would be so nice if just one person could make a Schengen video for only Americans because when you start bringing up all the Visa issues, it just muddies the waters. I entered Europe at Lisbon on 10/24/2018 and (for whatever reason), immigration didn't stamp my passport with the S stamp. This isn't entirely surprising since there were over 400 people in the non-EU national queue and it was around 3 a.m. Lisbon time. Added to that, I had absolutely no idea what SCHENGEN EVEN MEANT!!! I've been in southern Europe (Por/Spa/Ita/Gr) for six months continuously and now hope to "escape" by flying to Serbia, Bulgaria, or Moldova. But I am totally panicking that some immigration bureaucrat will ask why I don't have an "S" entry stamp. I DON'T WANT TO GO TO PRISON!!! They throw cups of pee at you in jails from these countries. 😭😭😭
What she doesn't make clear is that after staying 90 days out of a 180 day period, you need to leave the Schengnen zone for a full 90 days before the next 180 day period can start.
hey jess thanks for mentioning this. Does this mean if I'm in the schengen region for 20 days, then outside for 90 days, the clock "resets" and I can stay in schengen for 90 days? Thanks
I have an Australian passport.. which allow me to stay up to 90 days bisa free ... my question is do I need to provide insurance and accommodation ? I am staying for 21 days in Europe and uk .

Hi, I got 1 year multiple schengen visa.. Duration of stay 90 days..so it's 90 days in 1 year or 180 in year I could stay? Plz reply I m really confused..plz
Just spent 1 month Switzerland, 2 Germany, 4 UK , 3 Ireland, 1 Italy and 2 France. If I had known about the Denmark i would have stayed in Europe!!! Please show proof of Scheñgen with Denmark...

...or you can just hop over to Georgia, where you can stay 365 days. This clock starts over each time you re-enter.

The 90/180 rule is plain stupid!! How does moving to a different Schengen country every 90 days harm the zone? I'm spending money!!
Just spent 1 month Switzerland, 2 Germany, 4 UK , 3 Ireland, 1 Italy and 2 France. If I had known about the Denmark i would have stayed in Europe!!! Please show proof of Scheñgen with Denmark...
Check out the description. I provided links to all sources.

So flawed, it turns out other non-Schengen EU citizens can't stay more than 180 days in Schengen 🤣🤣🤣

Walt Bowlby Check out the video! There's a whole section on where to go.
I replayed your video and Noted Denmark as my answer. thanks !
Not quite. Denmark is still in Schengen. You can go there after your 90 days in Schengen but then you STILL have to leave for 90 days.
Thank you!
wow, this is extremely detailed. Thanks!
jesterhat Glad you found it useful!
