Yebbo. That's something we are always considering doing and could do later in the year, when the pressure of rain season is over. Though for the moment, we feature farm infrastructure as we come across it in each video.
Apart from moisture, plants also need the right temperatures to grow well. Pls look up the term 'heat units' in relation to agriculture. Each plant needs the right amount of heat units for successful growing. Planting summer crops after the summer has ended, and we enter the cold season, will be quite a challenge. Similarly, there are crops like cabbage, which grow best in cold or cool weather.
As with all things in agriculture, opinions vary about that. In our case, we prefer to do it. Especially as the weather is variable under the climate conditions that the Western world has so generously imparted on us. This really affects our crop growth and we want to give them all the help they can get. Besides, the booster fertilisers are very reasonably priced, so not really a big budget item.
So Sir am planning to venture into farming this coming farming season 2022-2023 and am planning of starting with soyabeans so what are some of the things i have to consider please i need some advise Sir
Out total planting this past summer was approximately 4Ha. But spread out over various fields and blocks. Our farm is in Chongwe River flood plain and all falls towardsthe river, so we don't have a lot of wide open fields.
This was our first year planting soya beans, so we are still learning. I'm sure you will find out more as you do your research on the ground with other more experienced soya farmers, agronomists and the seed companies.
You're clear & educative 👌
Glad you think so!
I am hooked to this channel now. Great content 👍

Wow this is great. I am equally hooked to this channel👏. And what is the total hectares of the soya beans that you planted?
We planted about 2.3 Ha of Soya Beans, spread across 4 fields around the farm.
@@mondofarms4343 what’s your expected yield per Hecate?
You’re doing well boss
Could you educate on how to sell farm produce. What market places are there for your products
Interesting question
Awesome. 👏🏾👏🏾Can you do a farm tour showing infrastructure and the layout. This is impressive

Is it necessary to spray booster fertilizer to soya beans

How do you irrigate it? Drip?
Yes
On an hector how many bags of soybeans can be haviested
It all depends.
Do you put fertilizer to soya beans or its grows naturally
There's a section in the video where I mentioned fertilisers and what we apply. It's around 9:30. Thanks 😊
@@mondofarms4343 thank you very much for your response,,

How big are those soya beans fields?

From your own experience, what seed do you think produces the most yield ?
This was our first year planting soya beans, so we are still learning.
