Love it when the littles beat the bigs
That serve at 0:56 🤌
Wrong court Stephen…
John & Stephen! Y’all are killin it🤙🏽🔥
Appreciate you Val!😅
both of you played great, your partner's quick twitch is unreal
I would assume so! He’s in the gym 7x a week😂 and thanks!
This was a sick match! Huge blocks !
Had to run all those back sets in that wind ! Perfect 👍
Hey thanks! We just started running the back sets this past week. Seems like it’s working alright

What a game!
Stephie boy.... im not letting that 5 serving 1 serve go unmentioned....
**Pins comment😂
Well done John / Stephen! And wondering if your combined name ever reminded you of Jon Stevenson, a great 5"10 player....
Feels like I’m watching the finals of an avp open match
Some people mistake Stephen for Phil Dalhausser sometimes
I am one of those people
There’s no such thing as shorty in vb. Their superhuman speed is impressive. ⚡️💪🏽
Appreciate that! 😎
okay, I'm noticing the McNally trademark clap after your opponent passes, and often after you get a dig - great game John
Good eye Eric haha! Feel like It helps me get in rhythm, or it’s just a tick..😂
You guys move so fast. I thought I was watching on 1.25x
That’s what someone else said! Maybe it’s the frame rate… or my partner’s insane athleticism
that guy in yellow shorts is amazing.
He really is🔥
2:48 No way that was square. Also, is it me or is this video sped up by like 10%? It looks unnaturally fast, even at Normal playback
60 FPS, normal speed.
Also it’s hard to tell because the close side player got in the way during part of the play. You might be right, looks close
@@1stSeedVolleyball Ah must be the FPS and the way it’s cut up. And I think in general players get away with not being square on oversets too much.
Amazing what the shorter players are able to do. Incredible athleticism!
Hey thanks!😄
Why is yellow short coming to hit from behind the setter all the time no matter the pass? Is it just his habit or any strategy about it?
Most of the time It’s so that player can always swing into the wind. It allows the hitter to swing much harder and can make every swing way tougher to defend. It’s also good to make the blocker have to make a bigger move and can sometimes give the hitter more court to swing at.
**Quick question for everyone.. Was the set at 1:52 a double? 🤔
hard to tell from this angle....can't base it off of the little bit of spin.
@@colefisher1095 was such a quick/low set so didn't have as many rotations
@@1stSeedVolleyballif that was a high ball would have spun 5 times
Why to 28 not 21?
We had a 4 team pool instead of 5 so we played more points. 5 team pools play games to 21
Super scrappy game! Y'all are the ball control GOATs. Sometimes instead of backset you can run more on 2 and super fast into the bad side instead of running all the way around, especially if the blocker is already waiting for the backset. Just some extra offensive tools
Agreed! Definitely need some more bailout plays (We also kept running a lot of 4 blocks in this tournament because of what you told us😅)
Ball control beats size every time haha
Wind definitely helped give us a leg up
