Saw OOR that same year, in January...in a small venue in Denver. Amazing show... so full of energy and positivity. I'm 61, and it's difficult to impress me anymore...OOR was more than I ever expected, they were amazing. Hoping to see them return to the US, I'll road trip to see them again, if that's what it takes.
It's like they've found a cheat code to have every live performance sound as good, if not, better than the studio version... That's talent right there!
Man, people need to stop saying that the crowd is "dead." You would know that wasn't the case if you were actually there. The audio is a direct feed from the mic and stage. Why else do you think it sounds so good? There was no mic pointed towards the crowd, hence why you can't hear us as much. Tons of people were singing along though. And this is just a short set at a music festival so there are lots of people in the back watching who are not familiar with the band. It's not fair to compare this crowd with a crowd at one of their solo concerts.
ONE OK ROCK is one of the fewest REALLY JRPOP BAND WITH A GOOD INTERNATIONAL PROJECTION I wish more jpop and good japanese rock bands could be doing as good as kpop is doing lately

That’s a lot of working for people that aren’t necessarily getting paid.. there’s multiple camera people and an audio professional that mixes the audio as well..
I remember getting hyped for Vans Warped in 2014....but OOR didn't come to Florida with them. Didn't stop me from seeing them 6 times since then, most memorably in Fukuoka twice.....their stops in small venues in the U.S. give unsuspecting music lovers a taste of a real superstar Japanese rock band that are kind enough to grace us with their presence. Thanks Taka, Toru, Royota and Tomoya....see you again in Seoul in April!
well, i agree. all the songs of eots are absolutely better in live but you dont need to write rock that way because they're still the same even changing a little bit to try something new or not :)

Rillo Fambudi exactly. i'm always changing but ambitions is currently my favorite album and it also has A LOT of pop involved. if we compare both albums, i'd say eots brings less traditional elements and more "modernity". it's interesting because eots live perfomances sound with a totally different energy from the studio and with all that old elements again (??) btw i truly like this

50のおっさんの戯言です。やっと世界で通用するちゃんとしたロックバンドが育ったなと思う。ステージに出るときから余裕やし、「100パーだしたらお前らひくから、70パーくらいでやったるわ」って感じ。次がFoo Fightersだろうと、GREENDAYだろうと、まったく引け目を感じないパフォーマンス。ビートのノリ方が完全に日本のバンドのノリじゃない。ドラムのビートが、って言うけども、それよりボーカルの１拍の取り方が重要だと思っていて、今まで海外展開した日本のバンドのボーカルとtaka君は違う。これがロックバンドだよ。かっこいいです。なげーな（以上、個人的な感想です）
