I get what Kentorey is trying to say and Alan is right , these remixes are so dope it makes people anticipate an original track. Plus Joyner's creativity and versatility keeps people hooked because we never know what he'll do next. And on the other hand his remixes are embarrassing a lot of new rappers so I feel like these remixes will make rappers step their game up or fall back, either way hip hop can't ignore him at this point.

I disagree. Hip Hop is a very young genre of music compared to, for example, rock n roll. So many genres and sub-genres of music have been created from Rock n Roll. Hip Hop will diversify whether anyone likes it or not. I don't think it has to be about the intricacy of someone's lyrics or their level of story telling. Trap, conscious and commercial (etc) cannot be compared to each other. It's a matter or preference.
Sinderella23 I get what you're saying but I'm not saying that it should be or everyone wants only one form of hip hop, music is subjective, relatable and there is something for every mood and emotion. But rap has gotten lazy and a good beat is really all you need to become popular, and the majority of rap is a bunch of bs, repetition and ignorance over a dope beat. Joyner dropped an album like 3 or 4 months before he came out with that gucci gang song lol. The album is 508-507-2209.. so if you want to listen to his work, here it is. Not even a year old, I feel like people are just now knowing about him but he has like tons of deep songs out that no one is bothering to research.

I like what Joyner Lucas is doing and I agree with Mike that Wayne did the same thing and that allowed him to be regarded as one of the greats. It keeps him omnipresent and guaranteed to be played in the clubs and keeps his skills sharp. He has his own music out now but he's capitalizing on the popularity of other artists music and I'm sure as an artist, he enjoys ripping any crazy beat he hears. Alan has 'remixed' other songs lately and it doesn't take away from his talent or ability. I would love to hear more original content too tho.

The good part about making remixes to some of the biggest songs, he's getting the younger ones that love those artists (Lil Pump, 21 Savage etc.) to listen to his remixes. A lot of them get pissy about it, but a lot of them are loving his flow, lyricism etc. that isn't present in the originals. He's trying to revive Hip-Hop. I mean, ALL of these artists don't need to just make turn up music. Plus, he's putting these new artists back on their heels. Maybe they'll step up and actually put some work in....
He's got two albums released under Atlanta right now but they're pretty slept on at the moment. The songs on youtube have about 300k views on average with some of the more popular ones having a couple mil. These remixes, I'm sorry, and I'm not racist are his biggest hits right now.
