Spring bluebells at Challacombe a wildlife friendly Dartmoor Farm

The terraces on the hillside are strip lynchets - created by farmers ploughing in medieval times. Careful management of grazing on Challacombe Farm is undertaken to try and maximise the numbers of flowering bluebells each year to create this spectacular sight of over 2 million bluebells.
