The change in position was announced in August 2023. Prince Philip had passed it to Prince Charles who held the position for over 30 years, King Charles passed it to Prince William. The Army Air Corps were very pleased to have Prince William, I think there had been requests to have him.

I thought that Katie and Kinsey agreed on most issues. Katie is very much a fan of Harry and Meghan. She painted their trip much differently that the other news sources have, and I felt like Kinsey talked out of the other side of her mouth so as to agree with her guest. How can you call their trip a success when they openly insulted Britain and the RF by not singing for the national anthem, and Harry inspecting the troops???? They are no longer royal. Everyone else who has delivered an analysis of their trip has said that Harry & Meghan made the trip all about them. Disappointing show.

I’m shocked Katie - you’ve been covering the RF for long enough to see through the BS of H&M or not knowing Harry’s (lack of) qualifications vs William’s very real qualifications and work. My husband is in RAF & flew H over to Afghanistan and whilst he said H was decent enough, he was never put in any actual danger or did in frontline work. He was kept protected and behind any actual fire. William on the other hand actually did fly in over 150 search and rescue operations. Come on - people deserve to know facts and figures not opinions and lies. 😢

I don't understand how Katie could say that King Charles handing over the role as Colonel to Prince William was a slap in the face to Harry. Harry was the one who left the country and left his duty and is living in the United States. And even if he was still living in Britain and had not left his military roles, Prince Charles as King had the right to give that position to Prince William as direct heir to the throne.
