I think his cockiness adds to the humor. You don't always need to act humble. Plus its not like he is hurting anyone. He is just boosting his own confidence without putting anyone down.

@@cee_el Tzuyang enjoys the food, she's not just inhaling it like a vacuum cleaning up a mess. These discussions about algorithms and watching staff fluff up the boss's ego would take away the appeal that she's not pretentious, like when she was doing the Yokji Island tour.
i always find it interesting how korean youtubers always seem to have a production thing going on. in my mind mukbangers just had a camera strapped to a chair in front of them but the magic is ruined in my mind seeing a small team hovering over them 😅

Well, 3kg is not actually a lot for a real mukbanger. What's impressive is how fast he did it.
Yeah true, I think it's less about the amount than the nature of the food - pairing greasy food with a cheese sauce is quite difficult to stomach so quickly, especially for Koreans who tend to like to cut back on greasy foods with kimchi/other spicy and sour side dishes.
"real mukbanger" not all mukbanger eat in large portions. their job is to eat while interacting with the audience. what you're describing is a competitive eater/glutton lol

@@arcwindz1 Mukbang comes from the Korean word 먹방 which combines the Korean words for “eating” (먹는) and “broadcast” (방송). Mukbang was initially started as a way so that ppl don't feel lonely when they eat. Him and the youtubers you mentioned are indeed mukbangers but their niche is that they eat in large proportions. Being a "real mukbanger" doesn't mean you should eat in large portions lol
