Ive seen several Attune reviews from credit xard RUclipsrs. The way you broke down your analysis of whether the card would be a benefit to you was very well done. Thank you!
I appreciate that John! Yeah, I think everyone should go through this exercise to make sure that this card is right for them. Sometimes we get excited about these new cards without truly thinking about how it would work in our daily lives!
@@TheCreditFrog they’re losing money on every 4x charge and not charging an AF. I can’t see many people using this as an everyday charge card getting 1x on everything else.
That pet spending category alone makes this card worth it for some families. My best friend's family has 3 dogs and 2 cats. They could easily spend 400 a month at Petco. And he also has a comic book collecting and board gaming hobby. His wife is a serial knitter that gets all the streaming services. This card was MADE for them.
I was thinking about the same for us, we have 2 dogs, but our spend is no where that (even if we include grooming). The thing with majority of the per stores is that they take Apple Pay, so for us USBAR still comes ahead on the deal, even if we dont necessarily earn 4x but only 3x, we plan to use the USBAR points for airline tickets one a year, so that is when will get the RTR boost.
Thank you for this video, it really helped me finalize my decision to get one. As someone who does not spend like the typical spending categories like gas, dining out, or groceries, this has to be the most suitable option since public transportation is key in NYC, been desperately trying to save some money with the increasing MTA fares, much love and support for your channel.
That's great! Yeah, the Attune card covers a lot of niche categories which is pretty cool. Sounds like it would be a great fit for you, especially with spending in that transit category in NYC. This card would be great for those living in big cities like yourself!
This card is really cool and super understated it seems. Fills a lot of gaps that normal would be hit with a 2% catch all or the USBAR (if mobile wallet available).
I agree Mark! I think we still need to figure out if the card can transfer rewards out to another WF card for transfer partners, but the categories coverage is pretty massive! If some of those categories used to be covered by only 2%, getting 4% on them instead is very nice!
I was on the edge to recommend this card to my coworker who has an elderly dog with CHF but no insurance and she personally gets her nails done every week. Glad I watch your video! I didn't know this card has cell phone protection. I think it will be a no brainer for her. For sure will discuss with her tomorrow !
Stan do you cash you bofa points out or do you use the benefit on your PRE for the discount on flight redemptions? Your value on the usbar includes its redemption multiplier but not the PRE so just curious if you find that benefit to be not worth it. Thanks!
Personally, I cash out points at 1cpp to my bank account. Since switching to most of my spend on the USBAR, I don't really spend as much on the BofA PR Elite so it would take months to even get close to enough points to redeem for a one-way flight. It's easier for me to just get the immediate cash back redemption and get the better return on the USBAR with RTR. If you spent a lot on the PRE, then I would absolutely try to redeem it using the BofA travel portal to get that extra 20% rewards boost!
Monthly family gym membership, weekly/bi-weekly movie theater visits, sounds like a good setup with my no AF Autograph card. I do wonder though if the 4% cash back work with the spending that we do for my kids sports activities throughout the year. Stan, always good to see your content brother. Keep it up.👍🏾
Of course! Thanks so much! Yes, this card is pretty cool with all of the 4% categories. I think sporting activities may count depending on how they code, but if your kids need sporting equipment, that should definitely count! Awesome to hear that you have the Autograph card too - hopefully you can transfer Attune rewards to this card for transfer partners, but we'll see!
Love how you broke down your own spending in analyzing the card's value for you. While this is important to do for any card, I think it's especially so for the Attune since there are just so many categories, many of which are quite niche. And yes, Swifties will be very intrigued with this card haha. Awesome stuff Stan!
Thanks so much Monty! Yeah, breaking down the categories is important when deciding to get a card, but especially this one, where there are so many of them!! The entertainment category is a big one and should put C1 on notice since it can now offer 4% entertainment on a no annual fee card.
While this card is not for me; if it allows points to transfer over to the autograph I could see how Wells is coming out on top. Multiple cards that cover just about every expense + good multipliers can keep some having a Fargo only setup assuming they like the transfer partners.
I agree. That's really the big question, and if the points transfer, this could make for a very nice all WF card unified setup (minus groceries). Can't have everything, sadly, haha!
Great video Stan! It is such an interesting card. The Sports, Recreation and Entertainment category covers so many different things. You could get 4% at a sporting goods store, baseball game, live concert, amusement park, movie theater, or bookstore.
Thanks! Yes, I really do hope to see more cards like this since it's refreshing to see different credit card categories. There's so many to choose from, and all you need to have is a lot of spend in 1 or 2 to make it worth it!
Seems to overlap a lot with the autograph's transit category. Would be great if wf replaces the autograph's transit category with grocery in the future but it is highly unlikely.
Also as a trifecta with no AF, the active cash, Autograph, and this would make a solid setup, and you can take advantage of 1CPP cashback or use the points system. WF knew what they were doing with this one.
I think this card is a very interesting idea. It really focuses on experiences, environment and self care, which is mostly unheard of in card categories unless it is a quarter category. It seems very appealing but I am unsure how it fits into my life at the moment.
I agree Brittany! I hope that WF and other issuers continue to innovate when it comes to multiplier categories since we've seen so many cards with the typical ones. The nice thing is that it's no annual fee so you could always take it for a spin to see if you like it!
Good analysis as always! It is also not the card for us, for many of the same reasons. One thing that surprised me is that fact that you use BofA PRE for Uber? Why not use USBAR with Apple Pay from within the app for 4.5x vs 3.5x ? Am I missing something here. EDITS: spellings.
Thanks! Yeah, I guess I could use Apple Pay with USBAR for that as well. Didn't realize Apple Pay was an option, definitely another reason why USBAR is so powerful!
I'm planning to get one. I already got AJ, and this will pair nicely with it. I want to get another Bonvoy Boundless, but I can apply for it starting March next year, so I can apply for it, or my P2 can apply for it. I'm currently at 4/24, with 3 cards falling off at April next year.
It depends on the categories, but the Attune is mostly for those esoteric categories that are otherwised overlooked. In any case, 4% in 1-2 of these may be huge depending on your spending habits!
@TheCreditFrog I've had it for a couple years. Its Basically for anu thing thats self care, plus 10% on generic medication and Walgreens branded items. 5% on all other meds and walgreens items and 3% at gyms, spas, barbershops, pet stores, anything that has to do with health.
I was going to do so, but then the RC PP got nerfed so I decided to keep the PR Elite for 1 more year. Also, I wanted to get other cards this year so I needed to preserve my 5/24 status since if I went PRE to CCR, I'd have to get another PR card, which would add to 5/24 😕
I just got a Tesla and wanted to get rewards back for EV charging. I have a chase card but that’s gives me 1.5. My Bank of America gives 3% but I have it for groceries. I was looking at Costco citi card that gives 4% but that has a cap while the attune doesn’t. I don’t spend a lot of money overall but I am a sport guy and a gym guy so it does fit my category. The only issue is there a better one? What do you think of the autograph? Not the journey one
Hey Stan any chance you can make another USBAR video? I really don’t know who the card is exactly for, and more importantly when I’m your credit card Journey you should try to get it. It’s a confusing card honestly
I definitely feature the USBAR in a lot of my videos since I use it so much! I'll put the idea on the video idea list though. This card is really for everyone who uses mobile wallet like Apple Pay regularly for their purchases and wants a simple one-card solution. You can get it whenever you feel ready to handle a card with a $400 annual fee, knowing that all dining and travel up until $325 will be covered by the annual credit!
@@TheCreditFrog can you answer about international travel? I keep hearing different things that you can only redeem flights in the USA. Is there anything specific I should know there since I mainly travel internationally?
@@L-Man-Gaming Yes, for Real-Time Rewards redemptions, this is usually limited to the US. However, international travel purchases and mobile wallet purchases will code as 3X domestic and abroad

Hey Stan sorry to bother you again but I was thinking maybe you can make a comprehensive video on mortgages and credit cards. I just thought about something interesting like let’s say I did get a chase ink preferred and put 8k on it to reach the bonus wouldn’t it actually be better to have those transaction on your personal cards so the banks can see some recent large payments when going for a mortgage in the near feature? I don’t know if this even matters but it seems like it would make sense if they can’t see your business credit. But again I don’t even know if they can see that. It’s all so confusing and I want three cards in one day before gardening my account LOL
Yeah, I'll address these points in the live this week. Since I've never been through a mortgage process myself, I'm probably not the best person to consult on these things, but we'll cover some topics related to mortgages and credit cards.
This card is very unpredictable. I tried it on Uber even though its listed on their site as an example. It didn't work. I tried it at a nursery and steam purchase and it didn't work. It all depends on how its coded in the system. Sportsman Warehouse, Disney +, Apple TV and my hair cutter worked. I would like to use it on a ski pass, but not sure it will work.
Thanks for leaving your data points! I also saw on Reddit that a lot of people have been having difficulty getting the 4% to match up with the categories, and some merchants don't code correctly when they should. Ultimately, that's very disappointing as this card had a lot of potential to have great coverage, but as more and more people use it, we'll see how good of a card it really is. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out if a category is covered, but this is certainly uncharted territory. Uber not being 4% is weird though - that one should work so I think WF dropped the ball on that one for sure. They probably don't even know how to code the MCCs correctly into their card.
For sure Juan! Yeah, I think a lot of us are trying to figure out who this card is really for, but there are certain archetypes that fit. When it comes down to it though, all you need is a lot of spend in a few amount of the named categories to really come out ahead on this no annual fee card!
@TheCreditFrog Also, if you product change the Elite , Premium rewards or a Travel rewards to a Customize Cash, that card becomes a Customize Cash with no FTF.
I’ll be waiting excitedly for data points to see if you’ll be able to transfer the points earned from the Attune to the Autograph! Hopefully this is the case since it’s possible for the Active Cash. Was actually going to apply for the Active Cash next to pair with my Autograph but the Attune fits some of my miscellaneous spending and will earn twice as much as the Active Cash. A nice no AF trifecta in the works! Great content as usual Stan, thank you!
Yeah, I'm also really interested to see if transfers are available because if they are, that would really make this card a lot more interesting! It's very exciting to think about the possibility of a no annual fee WF trifecta setup, especially with this Attune card covering so many different categories!
Could you product change from your Autograph to the Attune card? I rather have this card but don't want to give up my long standing history with my Wells Fargo credit cards. Initially I was able to product change my old WF credit card to the autograph without losing my longest credit card history (since the 90's) If i close my autograph for the Attune.
I'm not entirely sure. We need someone to confirm or deny this as an option. But if you keep both the Autograph and the Attune, it could be a very cool combo setup, missing only groceries as a category.
I just looked at my available product changes for my Active Cash card and I was only given 1 option and it was to change to a Autograph card. I am not sure if they only ever give 1 option, I seem to remember at one time having multiple product change options. But call customer service if you dont have the option available on the website. The worst they are going to do is say no. The Active Cash is my only card with WellsFargo right now, I did product change it about 8 months ago and I have had the account for many years.

This card is great, and I'm happy you're excited for it. There are a lot of awesome categories on this card at 4% which is incredible!
Oh, and i forgot all about the golf category. That category alone could make this card worth it for some people who don't care about any other category.
@TheCreditFrog Exactly lol Also, nobody mentions the plethora of things you can get on Etsy, which gets covered by the Attune, or the fact that I can get 4x back on firearms or ammo from Academy. This thing really is a juggernaut of a card. It has some sort of value for almost everyone.
I wonder if Hair and Nail salons are included? If so, I can finally get back some reward for my wife and daughter’s spending 😂 Edit: I just checked the terms and it does! lol
If this catches on at all with people who actively use more than 1 credit card, I expect to see it nerfed in a year or two. Unlimited 4% rebate is a loss leader and I can’t imagine a bank being interested in losing money long term.
According to statistics 66% percent of people in the US have pets.🐕 that means this Card is perfect for over half of the US population! At unlimited 4X I don’t understand why people aren’t seeing the huge value in this card. Personally, I can’t wait for my six months to be over, so I can apply as there is nothing like this in the market! 🐶

@@TheCreditFrogi was looking into product changing P2’s active cash and this card was not an option but I think it had just come out that day. Im excited for this card. I think the RUclips guys are dogging it because they are guys.
@@lienecarter6411 Thanks for providing your data point! I definitely think that there are some categories that are very valuable to both men and women, and it really does depend on what you primarily spend your money in. This card is great, and I'm happy you're excited for it. There are a lot of awesome categories on this card at 4% which is incredible!
Per Wells Fargo you’ll have to wait 6 months after the Attune’s release date before they will allow product changes to the Attune card.
Oh, and i forgot all about the golf category. That category alone could make this card worth it for some people who don't care about any other category.
Yeah, golf is expensive, even with 4% back, but might as well use the card for it if you got one!
I have not seen a single person mention that Wells Fargo just gave us 4x back on Pokemon Cards from TCG Player 😂 It's game over lol
Hahaha! OMG, we gotta catch em all, and why not get 4% while doing so!
This card is for people who drive and Ev and go to events… aka me. College kids that drive EV’s this is a no brainer
It covers a lot of awesome categories for 4X! No annual fee really makes this card shine!
I wonder if Hair and Nail salons are included? If so, I can finally get back some reward for my wife and daughter’s spending 😂
Edit: I just checked the terms and it does! lol
Haha! Gotta get that value back for the spend. It's not everyday that you find health & beauty as a category on a credit card!
If this catches on at all with people who actively use more than 1 credit card, I expect to see it nerfed in a year or two. Unlimited 4% rebate is a loss leader and I can’t imagine a bank being interested in losing money long term.
I wonder how many sign-ups they'll get. It's a very interesting card, and we'll have to see how it plays out. 4% on this many categories is very cool!
Yeah, this is a great card for those pet lovers (that also want 4% back on a no annual fee card). Looks like you're a dog person! Sounds like you'll be the perfect fit for this card!!
I sure am!!😉wish you had an affiliate link so I could support your channel!

💯
funny that EV is planet friendly when it is one of the least planet friendly things out there.
Haha, it’s certainly the definition of irony!
Sad im currently living outside the country so this one has foreign transaction fee so its a no for me
Aww man. Yeah that’s one negative about this card, but maybe this gives you time to get an Autograph card (provided that the Attune can transfer to it)!

@@blacksuite1 Yup!
They should rename this the Commiefornia card. If you get value from this card, we can't be friends. 😂
With the kinds of categories on this card - I can see where you're coming from, hah!
Wells is introducing some good cards to the market and the Attune is a strong card. Thanks for sharing your thought process and information mi hermano!🫵 Keep up the great work!💪
I appreciate that hermano César! I agree, I hope WF keeps this up, and other credit card issuers follow!
