Yellow corn meal is not as dry as the white variety as it has a smidge of flour in it. Also, a bit of bacon grease heated in your skillet to the almost
smoking point and the excess poured into your batter will produce moist, flavorful cornbread. I do use buttermilk and eggs, but that skillet is
