The burden of proof is on people who believe in divine authorship. The fact is that there is no evidence of a single national revelation. If there was, there would be extra-textual accounts of it happening. There are none. 0 out of the supposed millions of witnesses. Also, even though the exact number and methods of the authors of the Torah aren't unanimous, there are enough textual differences to conclude there were multiple authors.

On the other hand, of the million+ witnesses, there have been zero accounts from a single one of them that it was a hoax, a lie, a collective conspiracy etc. The account is a national historic event which has not a single documented account from any actual witness to the even disclaiming otherwise. To dispute an entire nation’s collective claim of its own experience, neither at the time it occurred nor, even several generations after it was recorded in writing has never had a precedence since the beginning of history itself.

@@taliadavid858 That assumes there were millions of witnesses to begin. Not saying it's impossible, but it doesn't hold up to criticism.

I respectfully disagree. I also resent you disputing my national history as a lie.

My family memoirs have the numbers recorded. It was part of our history. Going by our numbers, it was more like 2.3 million people altogether. I guess a million would have been just for males within a certain age range.

It’s interesting that you would question the only religion, if fake, who’s inventor would have chosen its origin so outlandishly difficult to believe happened to them, let alone to coerce their offspring or others to believe, notwithstanding that this religion inventor would add as fundamental the most undesirable & burdensome laws. Sounds like the most ineffective and stupid way to get people to join such a “religion.”
Then to imagine that not only did the dumb inventor get away with it, over 3000 yes later the vast majority of the world & two of the world’s largest religions believe the book & account to be true.
Yes, obviously you must be right. The easier way to peddle some false bs would be to have a single nutcase say God spoke to him & then instruct a few co-conspirators to wait a century or so before allowing anyone to write any account of it.
      👏🏼Yeah, makes sense🤪
