I want to make an effect with the hand. I want to make a fireball/lightning charging in my hand, and then firing somewhere while the environment explodes and turn in the ashes. can you make a tutorial about that?

Film riot just put out a cool disintegration tutorials but it was via after effects and would love to see that on fusion. Maybe some of your old superhero tutorials done in fusion to give those of us who are rocking Davinci Resolve some choices.
Hey man! I am so glad you found this helpful! Fusion is designed 100% for visual effects and video compositing - so everything you can do in AE can be done in Fusion and a lot more! Yes I saw the Film Riot tutorial and it would be a cool idea to recreate that in Fusion! That is a great suggestion to recreate some of my old tutorials from AE in fusion! I would love to see a tutorial of something similar : A fire close to faces of people with light reflections on the faces triggered by the clip with the burning fire. This would have it look really realistic. Again many thanks for putting these tutorials together.
I use to work with 3d animation programs .... so i was wondering .... Generate Fire in Fusion with particles so you can " control " it as needed just wondering
When it comes to fusion the closest comparison would be after effects not premiere. Though it should be noted that while in theory they do the same thing, they are different softwares. I was used to adobe interface before and took me about a month to get used to it and now i actually enjoy it far more than the workflow i had with adobe
That is actually a great idea! I am planning on creating a more advanced version of this tutorial where I will be adding embers, heat distortion, more realistic flicker and so on!
Could you do a video on the same type of thing but with the planar tracker? Sometimes when I have a shot I need the fire to be in the proper perspective, but I've never been able to do it properly.
Nice tutorial Will try this later. I think the reason the copy and paste doesn't work is that it is copying from the first highlighted key frame. I suspect if you unclick the keyframes or click the las one, it would work better. Also I was hoping you would have added glows to the back wall and window as well as a reflection in the TV screen to make it feel very integrated.
Good observations! I did explain in the video that I left out details on purpose, bcs that would’ve made the tutorial so much longer. I wanted to show people how to do a basic fire composite - fire requires also distortion, smoke, realistic flicker, glow, reflections and A lot of other things to make it look true to life.
Great point. I managed to complete this tutorial with an explosion. It was challenging but fun. Definitely going to try this a few more times with different things like a car exploding.
I ran into a problem! I was able to create the fire effect and watch the playback of it in fusion, but when I go back to the editing page it doesn't show up. I just switched to DaVinci Resolve so I am very new to how to use this software. Any help would be appreciated!
Hey, how is it that the fire appears transparent within Fusion? But when I try to do the same thing in After Effects, Mocha, Boujou, and Maya, the fire is not transparent at all. And doesn't have an opacity map. It comes out with a black background, time and time again.
Ok, but why my merge 2 node is not connecting with the merge 1???? It keeps connecting with the green arrow in the same place my background is connected.

Nice. I think you could have got the flicker data from a probe of the overall brightness of a mask of the fire.

This 23 minute and 23 second tutorial, took me more than 3 hours, with the constant crashing in Fusion 16.
What are your computer specs ? And did you had generated optimized medias ?
