I always wanted to know who styled Lark Voorhies’ hair on SBTB? You always here that’s it was so difficult during that time to find a stylist but her hair was always on point 🙌🏾
All three girls were hot sauce, but Lisa was the it girl on the show. For the mostly white viewers, she was likely the first black girl on equal footing and not just some token supporting character. So sorry Lark didn't have a longer career. She deserved one...
Yeah, I remember reading that the character was originally written to be Jewish, but Lark Voorhies (spelling may be off 😂) just happened to get the role. The character wasn't written as a typical "token black friend".
"Lisa Turtle"? Her name is Lark Voorhies and she was in other TV shows. Hollyweird did a number on her. She probably didn't have the proper support sytem.
She is so beautiful and was definitely the fly girl of the 90s I feel like the industry did her and Maia terrible and constantly poked fun at them
