she's moving off of leg pressure SO well compared to like two days ago! honestly I love how you don't stick to one place even while training a mustang, it really gives them a lot of experience in so many different environments and the trailer trips really seem to help them adapt to loading and trailering over long distances. I mean can you imagine being a wild horse one day and the next day barreling down a highway in a little metal trailer? I think a lot of trainers really should do more work adapting their horses to trailer trips cause I know some captive bred well trained horses who still struggle with loading and trailer anxiety. Really good job though, you can really see how much love and time you put into your mustangs even through a screen. ❤️
I second all these comments and if we could, I'd give you a 1,000 thumbs-up for your patient training. I love Snooze, and think the name so suits her calm, relatively easy-going attitude to her new life.
Can someone remind the herd Snooze is from ? She and the horses the Espinozas picked up are some of the nicest ones I've seen aside from the Green Mt horses that I really like.
Good job Sam and Snooze!👍 I like how level headed and observant she is. It seems like as you're warming her up to try keeping her at a steady pace, all along she is taking in all the obstacles and doesn't spook going thru the different things. The way she went thru the ribbon curtain without hesitation proved she had noticed it and didn't balk. She just went thru it like she had already realized it wasn't something to fear. I think you'll see a different horse when you get her to the more spread out area and she can open up better. I'm anxious to see that!
Lovely seeing her great solid progress. A sweet mare you are creating. Her go button will soon stop hesitating!!! You are patient with very very good training. Lots of people rush a horse to do things- the horse's mind process a bit slower than humans..
On the road again ! too bad about leaving Rou again, but it was great you got to see him for a while. Snooze will come alive after a while, she's making progress. Snooze is a good horse, although having a trainer like you helps her a lot.
I'm in awe of your patience - and it really pays off. Good on you for wearing a helmet by the way, even though she's such calm horse. We value that brain of yours! ;)
Yes I’m starting to use my legs and seat to steer but reinforcing with rein. I’m riding with split reins so I need to hold them differently than my braided hunter reins 🙂
@@SamVanFleet Ah! I see. Thank you very much for replying. What a beautiful sweet natured amazing mare she is. Do you like her the most? I know you loved Roulette. Keep up the amazing work. Love from London UK 🇬🇧
You really keep on the road! Can you tell me about your truck? How do you like it? I can't tell from your other videos if it is gas or diesel, or model.
This is a beautiful, sweet horse, and I'm really wanting to bid on her when the time comes. I know it'll be different for everybody now that it's virtual, but can somebody explain what it's like? I've never done anything like it. Also, is there an average price that the trained mustangs go for? How far do people usually go?
That is a seriously bulky saddle--looks uncomfortable to both horse and rider. Does it fit better than the English or do you just figure Snooze horse would be more attractive to "western" riders.
She says she is going to do a mix of both- she isn’t sure what Snooze will end up being English or western, I think she talks about it a video or two back. Hope this helps!
Ingrid Fitz I have ridden in both disciplines (currently english) and from my personal experience, I found that the lighter saddle, that covers less of the back, resulted in a more forward moving horse, but that’s just me🤷🏼♀️ I am also not a saddle expert.😅😂
@@ingridfitz6671 I had a half Arab that was broke saddleseat and I bought to be a hunter. Always rode huntseat. But he could have gone western pleasure. One day I threw a western saddle and bit on him and went out on a trail ride. Ugh. Felt like I was sitting in a huge chair above the horse not on the horse. Had no contact. Could not feel my horse through my leg and seat. It makes sense though to me to start them in a western saddle because its heavier and more for them to contend with ...if they are taught to accept the clunkier saddle when the jumping saddle goes on it's like what's this... nothing compared to the other saddle.

Her name definitely fits her right there
She is so cute and just makes it looks so easy when its not. Your doing such a good job
Her color is so rich - I just love it! She's a beauty!

Totally not watching this before a Zoom call. 😂

What kind of bird makes that sound? So loud! My dog even spooked 😂
Right! Sounds like something from a horror movie.😄
I’ll have to ask Sherry 😂😂😂
Maybe wild parrots? They are exceptionally noisy.
they are a kind of green parrot that escaped captivity and now live wild
Amazing video. ♥️

Good work.Snooze is a very kind mare. Sounds like Hitchcock's "The Birds" in the background....
Early!! 12 veiws!
Shes so well behaved for her forth ride! Shes so calm and laid back. Shes improved so much!

She's definitely progressing. I would love this mare.
Her name fits her perfectly🥰
She seems like a really sweet, easy going mare!
Your doing a Awesome job with her
Lol, she picked up the pace going through the curtain!!!
Great job It’s got to be so frustrating when they don’t want to go forward I’ve been in that position with an Appaloosa not easy
Snooze is doing great
You should keep Snooze. She’d be such a great addition to your herd!
She's getting so soft!
Awwww so cute
So you are using your legs and seat to steer? I notice you hold the reins differently to English riding. How are you using the reins?

I’ll hopefully be making a video on this in a month or so!
It really depends on the mustang they can go from 500 to 10,000 it really depends on how far they are trained
Please do more liberty soon! 🥺

Off topic.... What a bird is in the background? :D
I’m not sure really! I’m in SoCal if that helps figure out what bird
Do you work her no matter the weather, or do you take breaks when it is too hot?
We take breaks
So cute !
Can you do a q& a video?

@@totally_not_kayla I know I was replying to Laela. She was first lol

Snooze is sort of a snooze. This is the first Mustang that has bored me.😕. Sam knows what she's doing though and Snooze just may surprise me. 🤷🤞🇺🇸
Boy she is kind of lazy. But a good horse.

Ingrid Fitz at least you aren’t pretending to be an expert and saying English saddles are evil 😂 finally someone on the internet with common sense!
