I also saw Solstice support Marillion and always have preferred Solstice. I especially love the earliest material with Marc Elton. Andy Glass is fantastic and has done a wonderful job in keeping the spirit alive over the years. All the material is great and the last two albums are superb. I'm going to watch them in London tonight, having last seen them about 15 years ago at the 100 club.

Hi, nice to see this, That's all my artwork on the LP, the front cover original was about 30in square, painted in acrylics. The mandala was based on a book of mandalas that I bought from the _Tibet Centre_ that I bought when I nipped out of the Marquee whilst Solstice setup. All the inside artwork were pieces I copied, in pen & ink, from various sources.
I guess I must have seen you at the some of the Marquee gigs LOL. Tose Marquee gigs were rammed, I was at the Marquee a lot in '68 & 69 and the only other time it was that rammed was Led Zeppelin in '68 LOL.
Got to do the cover for Clive Bunker's solo CD too through his connection with Andy and Solstice. If you have the Solstice DVD, that's my filming and editing too.

It's great artwork mate, and yes we probably did bump into each other down the Marquee. Thanks for the comment 😎

Good news! I only just discovered this band and this album about a fortnight ago, and have JUST ordered the CD from discogs! Although it has cost me a pretty penny i can tell you! Prog was my first love from the year i started collecting, 1976, but when Solstice came out i was in the depths of my post punk phase. It's a nice album and i really like the New Age true believer foundation - am i the only person who still calls themselves a New Ager? Anyway, i had a cursory listen to one of their later albums but felt like their debut was the one i wanted; a smooth almost adult pop sort of sound like BJH Ring of Changes, a very commercial album i happen to like, but of course the musicianship here sounds superlative. I stress my thoughts are from a mere two listens (so far). Plus it looks like my CD may not have the inner artwork, so when i get it, i can check the artwork here again! Nice channel - i'd like to check more of your videos. Into a range of genres myself.. but prog is THE BEST. Greetings from Sydney, Alexander.

I acquired a promo copy of Silent Dance via a rock radio show I presented back in the day and have followed them ever since. Well worth a listen, as are all the albums. Sia takes the biscuit guys.
