- Losa is a lively, uptempo duet for vibraphone and marimba, influenced greatly by Spanish Flamenco music. The syncopated dance-like rhythms create a nice flow between unison and solo sections. The addition of Spanish percussion instruments in the solo sections gives the piece a great feel and contributes nicely to the Flamenco style of music.
Enjoy!

More about the Composer:
Emmanuel Séjourné is a French composer and percussionist, currently the head of percussion at Conservatoire de Strasbourg, and is considered a staple in percussion ensemble repertoire. Much of his music is inspired by western commercialized music, like jazz and rock, and is also greatly influenced by European pop music.
As a performer, he has performed his own ensemble and solo compositions at prestigious music festivals throughout Europe and North Africa, including "Archipelago" in Geneva, "Ars Musica" in Brussels, and "Ultima" in Oslo. Séjourné has also performed with orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, in which he recorded Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra by Camille Kerger. He also spent many years playing improvised music and jazz with the Swiss guitarist Max Lasser. Not only is he a well-rounded musician, but he is known for being one of the best vibraphonists in history.
