It's that damn Apple 🙄 Leave the walled garden! Don't get sucked into the ecosystem! For the record, as much as I dislike the things and the whole ethos of the company, it's obviously not the Apple 😉 But it is a issue that needs to be worked on 🙉
Ok, so it’s only 2019 iPace that still have fire issues, but the way they have handled the recall has convinced me never to buy another JLR. It was my favorite car though ;-)
Domenick here. I love the I-Pace, but I also heard lots of reliability complaints, which has made it hard for me to recommend. There are definitely lots of owners who have had great experiences, though, so I still like to bring it up as a possibility. Plus, the price is soooo attractive right now, it might be the right move for some.
I've driven the EV6, just not very far. I do need to have a go in the Ioniq 5. I've driven the EV9 - same platform as those - a lot of miles. - Domenick
@@BatteriesIncludedPodcastthey are pretty different cars for being the same platform. For instance, I don’t think an Ioniq6 or EV6 would have worked for us with 2 kids but an Ioniq 5 does.
As often as people reference not wanting to buy a Tesla because of Elon, you would think that Tesla would consider moving on from him. Yes, they have great sales, but how many more sales would they get if that garbage human being wasn't the face of the company?
That “garbage of a human being” as you refer him as is the founder of the company. Why is he viewed as garbage by you? Would you like to be associated with trash??
there would be no sales at all. nobody else in the entire world built a car company entirely based on tech and engineering, in order to build EVs so much better than every other car that people would become motivated to buy EVs in the first place. he was a D his whole life, made massive donations to the ACLU, the party shunned him and turned him away -- and honestly the people who did that are the people you should REALLY be royally angry with.
Elon has admitted publicly to his psilocybin and ketamine use, telling Don Lemon on camera he “has a prescription” due to him being treated for depression. His public behavior recently is erratic (note his strange antics at political meetings). He’s turning “X” ( Twitter) into a techno monarchist propaganda generator and amplifier. He’s clearly not spending a lot of time managing Tesla. Tesla is a publicly traded company. Any other public stock company would have directed the Tesla Board to replace him. Love my 2022 M3 Base, but it’ll be my last Tesla while he’s running the company. I’m also a shareholder and yes, I’ve written the Tesla Board that they need a successor to protect shareholder value. From which doctor is he getting psilocybin and ketamine? Look what happened to Matthew Perry.

You shouldn’t recommend anything without a heat pump for colder climates.
The Audi Q6 e-tron and Porsche Macan electric has a heat pump standard.

Dom, if you are hosting a show recommending EVs you really need to have driven an Ioniq 5, EV6, etc…. Just go hit the dealers.
