This reprise is so beautiful & what I always loved about it is, or as I saw it was Asenath reprising the song she didn’t know Joseph’s mother Rachel once sung was her operating in his mother’s spirit as a wife. In movie context, I think that would’ve made Rachel very happy to see. I think every mother wants to trust that their child is in good loving hands with their spouse.
This song speaks deeply to me. God brought my true love into my life a few months ago. She shares my feelings, but her parents were evil, abusive people and she is still carrying that burden of her past. This means she is not ready to pursue our relationship yet, as she is still holding onto anger against them. This song has become my prayer for her, as I wait for her to overcome bitterness and the past, and embrace love and the future.
