@@chrisrobison6469 Respect your opinion but have you ever met him? I have, not bragging just stating a fact Tracii is not a pleasant person to meet and I met him a few times not once was he pleasant but the one time I met Jake was the worst. The only person I met that was worse was Mike Vick! As far as guitarists there is only one that can be called the greatest of that era and that was Randy Rhoads. I come from a time of Page, Beck, Clapton and Hedrix! Tracii can run the neck but he can also play great melodic pieces. There's guitarists and then there are virtuoso's. Tracii fits into that category imo. There was a reason Tracii was picked to do Rock of Ages he wasn't just an 80s guitarist. Come to think of it all guitarists must have weird vibes even Page was a bit weird. The other guys just seemed like miserable people. Page was more paranoid.
Yes met Tracii multiple times but not recently. I was hoping his attitude changed. I met him the first time and he seemed to have no time for fans at the time. Phil on the other hand unbelievably down to Earth. Steve (may he rest in peace) was another great dude, a bit intimidated by fans but cordial. Once you got him talking he was great. I met all of them through the years. I always felt Tracii was the reason the band never reached the heights they deserved. Very miserable dude for a guy living a life in music. Still the greatest guitarist to come out of the era.
i remember getting hollywood vampires through columbia house back in 1993 and being amazed at how good it was, and how much the band had matured. great record with so many quality songs.
I live in Georgia and worked with a guy who got me back into the hair/glam metal scene. We lived in California in the early 80s but didn't know each other back then. He lived in Barstow, and I lived in BFE, somewhere deep in the Mojave Desert. One of his favorite bands was L.A. Guns. He spoke of them often. It's good to see that you guys still smash it up.
It's nice to see that 2 people in the crowd enjoyed an incredible rock show. It makes me wonder why all of the budding filmmakers decided to meet up at this club for drinks when the Guns were in town.
I saw LA Guns in concert back in the day in the 80s, a bunch of times at clubs in West Hollywood, and Omni in Oakland, plus some arenas. They were different from other LA bands, had their own sound, but somehow missed the big time.. Tracii was never any good at guitar but he was good enough to make his music I guess. This band doesn't really sound much like the Guns of old.
Always liked LA GUNS. very underrated underappreciated band. x Tracii Guns is an icon of a guitarist.
