  • We have been building in more or less the same way for decades. Admittedly the technology has developed, which has produced new materials and made the actual process of construction easier.
However, whereas other industries have made rapid developments in terms of standardisation, automation and digitalisation, we produce a new prototype for every new building. The construction sector must be the last area of production that is still virtually not industrialised.
The productivity on conventional building sites is about 40%. The building materials that are used are mainly made from non-renewable and therefore finite resources. The construction industry is one of the biggest emitters of CO2, producing about 4.4 million tonnes a year in Germany. Fifty-two percent of the waste generated in Germany is caused by construction and only a small part of that waste can be recycled. To that can be added the ever-increasing construction costs, long construction times, constant strain caused by construction traffic and noise and the work‘s dependency
    on the weather.
We have not only reflected on the current the situation but also thought ahead, about the future of building and living. We have developed and optimised what we already know and combined it with genuine innovations.
