The Acropolis is pure magic! Such a shame it was tortured for centuries.....Imagine it was still in it's original form standing tall over looking the beautiful and ancient city of modern day Athens. The Greeks are so lucky to have such a gem in the heart of their city!!! I'm from London, UK...what the hell do we have??? Nothing other then the bloody river thames!!!
Was in Athens just as museum was opening. Stumbled on this outdoor film show and were mesmerized along with others who stopped in their tracks to watch. Simplistic, tastefully executed in an incomparable setting, using nearby structures as screens, bringing Acropolis antiquities to life in a subtle yet innovative way. Appropriate in tone for this outstanding museum and its collection of worldly import. Hope other museums respectfully and rightfully return Greece's borrowed treasures to Athena.

gives you the goosebumps. first time greeks decided to enrich their already fantastic history with something extremely beautiful, surreal. worths any cost of construction! congratulations! greece also has some thrilling new artist blood as a country and i am so glad that this stands as an example of how visual arts can change the world and make it better. thanks for these 8 minutes of touch i got this morning :) bless x

There is another version of this work that I watched years ago. The editing was much better, natural and took its time and thus was much more moving and evocative. I wonder where it is?
Now don't get me wrong, that was incredible. But, after watching this whole thing twice in History Lessons, I still can't help thinking that a Ribbon Cutting would have been a lot cheaper. and simpler.
yes the word circus IS too strong, we have seen openigs "circus" in all over the world. they are not just lights, they are representing something...i couldn't imagine a better opening for the museum, and yes they should repeat it every once in a while...
not true. i think these visuals are the cherry on top of the cake. i understand there are people who dont like cherries but you can always eat the rest. come on its so beautiful. a circus would be low quality or average graphics. i didnt like that word no offense

I can't put in words how wonderful this video and the idea of bringing life into these remains, is...breathtaking....just breathtaking.
