Also it's interesting to notice Callie's influences on the bosses and the music. Ever notice how in S1 the bosses didn't have any sort of cultural influence to them. They really just looked like basic weapon machinery made for Octavio, not to mention the music felt like it was completely original. Now S2 rolls around and the bosses have a more Japanese-esque style to them, as apparent with the Octo Samurai and the Boss Intro music. The bosses have some of Callie's influences to them and the music is much more pop-esque as well. Really goes to show how much Octavio relied on Remixing Callie this time around.

Callie and Marie look so happy to be back with each other despite growing further and further apart over the years. You can tell just how much further apart they have grown by their personalities alone and also their solos. Marie’s solo is a calm and mature slow song while Callie has a peppy and slightly fast solo. They were growing farther and farther apart. In their early days they were very close and they used to dance mirrored (idk wht to call it) but in their solos they danced so differently. Then they grew more farther apart until the final splatoon 1 splatfest ; Callie VS Marie. And eventually the squid sisters weren’t as close as they were when they began. But then after the disappearance of Callie, Marie probably had a desire to find her cousin again and be close with her.
Love how once you have Agent 4 dive into the ink to recharge, the Octo Samurai is all like, "Where did that Inkling go???" with the blue question mark above his head, then when Agent 4 resurfaces, the Octo Samurai gets the red exclamation point as he realizes, "There you are!!!"
Am I the only one wondering HOW Octavio escaped from his glass ball prison, kidnaped Callie, brainwashed her, and hired her as his assistant with out ANYBODY KNOWING!?

How awesome would it have been if, for the third phase, the Octo Samurai had ditched the unicycle altogether and gone full motorcycle mode, chasing you down a long path as you'd keep up with his speed through the use of grinding rails set on either side of the road?
It is weird to be watching this 4 years later, I think for a moment the game isnt that old, but then I see the age of the video, remembered i saw it 4 years ago and damn. Nostalgia hits hard.
In the Octo Samurai, you can actually defeat it in 45 seconds. All you have to do is just to keep hitting him and when he tries to attack back just keep hitting because it'll stop him from doing his attack. Lol me and my cousin ever tried to do a competition on who can finish the boss fight the fastest.

At first I was disappointed with the final boss, since it seemed to be just like the one from the first game only in a small, non-moving arena. Then the thing switched to a chase on grind rails, and I instantly forgave the fight.

My best time on Octo shower with a charger was 1:12. I was shocked by that. I remember when I always had such a hard time with that and the first time I actually won it I started to get even better with my charger and my charging skills.

You know what. The old Octoboss format should return. Where the Boss just sits near the center of the arena, waiting for the player to close in. They should bring the Octo Samurai back, and it should just sit there, waiting for the player as usual. The thing here is: it is vulnerable to enemy attacks. They should make an easter egg hard mode of the battle, I which you hit him once with the Charger, before the battle starts, initiating a dishonoured version of the battle, in which it grabs a giant Charger, hones its new perfected aiming A.I., and it's just it or the player. Being a return of the Samurai or not, they should really make a boss that would be actually and intentionally very hard to defeat. Something that wouldn't be possible to accomplish, while playing the story for the first time.

In the Octo Samurai, you can actually defeat it in 45 seconds. All you have to do is just to keep hitting him and when he tries to attack back just keep hitting because it'll stop him from doing his attack. My best time on Octo shower with a charger was 1:12. I was shocked by that.
I remember when I always had such a hard time with that and the first time I actually won it I started to get even better with my charger and my charging skills.

The old Octoboss format should return. Where the Boss just sits near the center of the arena, waiting for the player to close in.
They should bring the Octo Samurai back, and it should just sit there, waiting for the player as usual. The thing here is: it is vulnerable to enemy attacks.
They should make an easter egg hard mode of the battle, I which you hit him once with the Charger, before the battle starts, initiating a dishonoured version of the battle, in which it grabs a giant Charger, hones its new perfected aiming A.I., and it's just it or the player.
Being a return of the Samurai or not, they should really make a boss that would be actually and intentionally very hard to defeat. Something that wouldn't be possible to accomplish, while playing the story for the first time.
