      In the temple, people can feel a peace of mind as they perform ordinances for others, dead or alive that alow them to live with God again.

    • @gordonbarnes3541
      @gordonbarnes3541 9 лет назад +8

      Such include baptisms for the dead, which means that someone will be baptized on behalf of people who didn't have a chance to learn about the Gospel while on Earth.

    • @alindasue
      @alindasue 7 лет назад +6

      I saw at least three black families in the video, although there was more focus on that one family. I've noticed that in a lot of the videos; the pick two or three families as representative of the group to tell the story of the video through. That congregation looked similar to our own ward in makeup, with perhaps fewer Pacific Islanders than we have, but still pretty diverse.

      That may be what was used in the Passover feast that the "last supper" took place during, but in all the different Christian churches I attended growing up (I became LDS as a teen), none used unleavened bread during the communion (what the LDS call "sacrament"). I am aware that there are some churches that do, but none of the ones we went to did.

    King James Bible 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the
    spirits whether they are of God:because many false prophets are gone out into

    • @nanaesio.nyarkoh2858
      @nanaesio.nyarkoh2858 9 лет назад +1

      Jesus H. Christ My question was based on religion not on us as human beings. I want to know what makes the beliefs of Mormons different from that of Charismatics. Please understand my question first. My belief is that this world is not God-less, and I have a lot of proof unexplainable to anyone who's eyes have not been opened to the truth. For the bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:14 "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit."
      Spirituality exists, and I have seen heard and experienced enough to take my stance on the matter. I do not blindly follow anything for that is not my nature - all my beliefs are backed by proof.
      Funny how people readily say God doesn't exist but rarely say Satan doesn't, and it's hard to say Satan doesn't when he is working through the music and entertainment industry. Doesn't take a Christian to put the dots together.

I just want an honest refute or answer from you guys about the doctrine that has changed over the last almost 200 years. I just want straight answers. We can all find something in every religion that we may not fully understand. I guess that's why they call it faith. I will try to answer any sincere question the best I can. However, having said this I would also like to say that answers are important but peace, happiness and joy are what I desire. I have found great joy and happiness as a disciple of Christ. Even though I don't know all the answers I don't feel like am lost or confused or misguided. The Lord wants us to trust in him and he will open our minds and our hearts and led us home. I hope this helps.

      Tori Walters Hello friend, did you know that teaching false doctrine will get you in hell? On judgement day you will have to answer to God for taking Christs glory in vain by spreading the false message of Smith. He will throw you into a lake of fire to burn for eternity if you do not repent! The Bible is the only true scripture of god

    • @johannesvangend2598
      @johannesvangend2598 7 лет назад +1

      +Tori Walters it is written Joh 20:16-, “Jesus saith unto her, ‘Mary!’. She turned herself, and saith unto him, ‘Rabboni’; which is to say, ‘Master. Jesus saith unto her, ‘Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
      My three questions:
      Why was Mary not to ‘touch’ Jesus, where did Jesus go to ‘see’ his God and his Father and why did He call his God his Father?
      Bear in mind Jesus was back later that afternoon where He travelled with the Emmaus travellers and later that evening He seems to have entered the upper room in spite of the fact that the doors were locked.

    I’m curious about this church. I noticed every man is in a suit & tie while women in lose fitting dresses. No tennis shoes, sandals, no jeans/shorts, no pants for women and no t-shirts. *So there’s a dress code huh?*
    Also, *is the service really 2 hours long?* …Do you sit down the whole time or move around the building talking with everyone?
    *Is there pressure to go up to the podium and address everyone of your just visiting?* I was invited to attend by two members but don’t need that pressure to be in the mic talking to the congregation, I’ve noticed some churches do that and I don’t think it’s the right approach when they single out visitors. Any Mormons in the comments to answer?

ANYONE who accepts Jesus wants to serve Him out of love, and not because they have to earn their way. If your religion were true, Heaven would be practically empty since only 1 or 2% of people are Mormon. What about people who followed Christ BEFORE the LDS came along, like the apostles? Oh, that's right, Paul murdered Christians in his past, so according to the LDS, he is in Hell. I don't think so!
